The notorius Global Underground series needs no introduction really, as the name pretty much speaks for itself. As for this particular edition, it obviously reflects just how significant Dubai has become on the world clubbing map. As an Arab one may feel proud, and as a Lebanese one can only hope for Beirut to be next on the GU sleeves. Compiled and mixed by Deep Dish's very own Sharam Tayebi, the tracklist is pretty much self-explanatory. I will refrain from going into a detailed desription of the two mixes as other TH members are much more qualitied to do so than I am given my relatively limited knowledge in House music, but the overall feel of the compilation is a careful blend of Progressive House and Electro House, the first sub-genre reasserting the heritage and legacy of previous GU masterpieces, while the second sub-genre reflects the current fresh sound invading dancefloors around the globe (and my avatar).[/align]
