The trip-hop production duo of David Rush and Brian Skinner has gained more fame for its stellar remixes and DJ sets than as producers of its own work. By engineering reworkings of tracks by a cast of artists ranging from William Orbit and Bomb the Bass to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and United Future Organization, the American duo became one of the most respected names in the DJ and production community.
Rusch's & Skinner's standing increased with the issue of two acclaimed 1996 DJ albums: Stroll through a Dream and Illusive visionaries. After forming their own D&B Records, the pair found a distribution deal with Quantagy and released the On-Stands EP in mid-1999. Though they remained busy with remix work and DJ gigs during 2001, it wasn't until late 2002 that another release appeared, The David & Brain Sessions. D & B also appears in the side-project North Africa Dubbed Out with Tarek Kandil, while D&B released an album in 2003 as PATROLAGE. They are currently working on international talents to combaine a world wide vision of ear to thier "New works of world art" said, David Rusch. Their new web site is now under construction, Official launch of the website will be at thier first gig held in the middle-east. Broadcasted live over the internet to millions of listeners world wide. I asked Brian Skinner where in the middle-east is this event happening? David Rusch said; "We are still bidding for the best responsive population in the region, we have our eyes on hot locations. We are doing our research in an unusual manor targeting straight to the real listeners, not ad agencies and promoters. Hopefully the summer of 2005 will make an impact in that country". At last these two dynamic duo have yet to show the music industry what they have up thier sleves.
