About Danjo:
Every trance-addict must have had at least three moments in his life, where he got in touch with the exhilarating sounds of Danjo. The Dutch born Danjo Raijer, created mass hysteria on dance floors worldwide together with his companion Rob Styles, with their majestic anthems ‘Everlast’, ‘Duende’ and ‘What Lies Ahead’. The last track has a quite prophetical title, as Danjo & Styles decided to take a break from their successful collaboration; but that does not mean that the ambitions of Danjo have stopped… Au contraire, as the French would say: Danjo is now focussing on a solo-career and ready to rock the world on his own!
His productions were initially noticed by Armin van Buuren, who signed Danjo (& Styles) to his major Armada-imprint in 2003. Their profile continued to skyrocket, when they launched their alter-ego Primer. The second release for this project ‘Everlast’ was an instant classic that is still play listed by artists all over the world and is a guaranteed hands-in-the-air hit on the dance floor.
The dynamic DJ / producers started to receive a plethora of enquiries for remix projects; resulting in a wide range of well-known productions like Tiësto’s ‘Adagio For Strings’ remix, Jones & Stephenson’s all-time classic ‘The First Rebirth’ and Chakra’s massive ‘Love Shines Through’. The two friends started travelling all over the world, to show their unique mixing skills, blended with their energetic performance. It resulted in a wide variety of bookings, and a lot of stamps in their passports: from Malaysia to Spain and the United Kingdom to Switzerland, the Dutchmen have been like everywhere and their tracks have been selected for more than 80 different compilation-albums!
Nowadays Danjo’s main focus is on his solo career. ‘Danjo - As The Tables Turn’ will be released at the highly acclaimed Be Yourself Music and besides this work as a solo artist, Danjo is spending a lot of time in the studio with other artists leading to some interesting collaborations. The results of these sessions will soon be released on various high profile labels. DJ-wise, his view on music can be heard during his monthly two hour radio show ‘Playground’, which is broadcasted on ten radio stations worldwide and of course the aged twenty-eight producer will keep on hammering his favourite tracks on parties all over the world with upcoming bookings in New Zealand, Hungary and Canada.
It should be quite clear that there is another Dutch star ready to rock the stages. Supported by all major artists in the scene, Danjo is certainly one to watch for in 2008. And what lies ahead, is for him to show the world…
