dont be sure about the advantage sony would have in games.. it only had that in the PS2 because it launched before the xbox.. now that the 360 has been launched ull probably see xbox in the lead in terms of the number of games, but no one can be sure about "quality.." anyways.. also heard that the PS3 would have all the processing power.. but wont have the games that would make use of all of it!

In My Opinion Just Go To The PS2 , You Wont Pay Much Ans Youll Get Good Graphics And Various Games

xbox 360 is the next generation console.
Only downfall: Price.
Otherwise it's been launched with a panapoly of STRIKING games such as 'Perfect Dark Zero' for instance.

PSX1,2 Has been quite amazing these last years offering gamers quality titles.

Still I would go for Microsoft's next gen. console. Although PSX3 will be out next spring in Japan that is not before Summer 2006 in Europe and the US and seems to be one impressing machines, I'd trust and bet on Microsoft offering better quality games in the future.

I'm not going for PSX2 Roland, I would've got it if I wanted it, but I'd
rather one of the new consoles.

A mate of mine is getting the 360 in a forthnight or less with a few games,
and although he'll blow it over the top, I'll still consider his opinion as
someone who tried it. As for the PSX3, ah well... guess I'll have to wait till
it's out and read some gamers' reviews on the web to see what the Sony
HQ had delivered (I don't doubt it'll be slightly more advanced than 360
in terms of graphics and speed maybe, but my profound fear remains lack
of games)

PlayStation 3 will be waaaay more successfull than the Xbox 360. From the technical side(some of you won't even understand what i'm goin to post, but what the heck, let's post it anyway:D) PS3 has one of the most advanced processors (CELL) on the market featuring 8 data execution cores (vs 3 for the Xbox 360) running each @ 3.2 GHz(equal to 20 intel pentium 4 put together).
I know many of you won't pay 800 $ for a gaming console, but if you're a gammer and wanna build up a PC with similar specs and performance levels you'll pay above the 6000 $ price range, and you won't even be able to compete...
