Oh I saw it in the shop when I wanted to buy my Mac. It's incredibly thin and
light. I wouldn't buy it though. Supposedly I can afford it, I'd be too scared to
break it in half.. lol.. I'm bad at handling fragile material (not that the Mac
is fragile) but I tend to break stuff like that.

Looks amazing!! Yet another useless product from Apple. It will only be beneficial for people who are constantly on the move; I'd say DJs.

Specs ain't all that, the price premium is for the innovative lightweight/thin design which I personally don't care for... I'd definitely go for a MacBook Pro instead!

Yes this is more of raw performance then the additional specs users look for, its more of design as well and lightweight. The USB issue can be solved with a USB HUB for instance...

it doens't even have a cd drive.. and dont' tell me you can use an external one because that totally contradicts the idea of it being portable and easy to carry around!!

and dont forget that if you use the USB hub.. you have around 480 kb being divided on all the usb devices that are connected to it when having a single port for each device is much more efficient in terms of speed... this thing is as bad as that iphone that came out last summer!!

^^ Yey, someone else agrees that the iPhone is not that great (Haven't really used it, but I'm not convinced that it's the best thing)... Been thinking about jumping on the Mac bandwagon to see what all the fuss is about, but I guess I'll just delay it

This machine is made to be the thinest notebook on the planet, but not the best you can find yes. Its just about how slim it is and light to seek a challenge or ranking..

Sony Ericsson X1 is good yes, my next phone when its out, alternately you got the P1 that is a bit similar and that is in the market all ready...

the iphone is innovative yet no mobile is perfect at our times. it's just choosing the best for your needs.

back to topic: the Macbook Air is basically for travelers which are burdened with big and heavy laptops carried around. also good for presentation and stuff so it's basically for a segmented portion of the consumers and thus not suitable for everyone. same goes to every product

I still think that 80% of mac users go for it just for the neat design..
