Good-bye Windows!

Hello children,

I have news to share. Primarily, I'm very happy which is why I'm sharing this
piece of information. I have finally, successfully, and completely abandoned
Windows.

Lads, say hello to Gen: The Mac User.

Yes, I got myself a Mac. And it's kicking... enormously.

Not only is it neat and classy. It's safe, ''uncrashable'', hi-tech, and fast...
really fast.
I was scared first. Pulling a glossy white macbook out of a box was intimating
because I had no idea how to operate that thing. Two hours later, I was
enjoying myself to the fullest.

This is easily the most profitable investment and the most well-spent money
ever in my life so far. Gone are the blue error screens in Windows. Gone are
the freezes, and certainly gone is the 'your system has recovered from a
serious problem' and 'do you want to send an error report to microsoft?'

if it goes cheaper OR I get richer, I will get the latest MAC laptop. but as long as cant afford 3,000 USD for a laptop, will get stuck on SHITT windows & its craches, nonstop errors

mac is great! safe, fast, professional ...but fuck the price...waiting to go to miami to get one...its much cheaper.
window's bullshit is so annoying: viruses, freezing, errors for nothin...

It's expensive yea but it's worth every penny. You're paying for a computer
where you might potentially not need another for the next 7-10 years or even
longer depending on how you use it and for what.

I've been saving up for it for ages and just got it last week when my budget
caught up with the price. Get it from the US if it's so dear in Leb. Leb shops
will rip you off. Go to the Macshop online and get it from the states for less
than 1K. But you need to provide a US address for the deliver. So, if you
know anyone in the US get their address and get them to ship it to you
through UPS or such... you'll save a bundle.

I can't believe I've been putting up with Windows for the past 8 years...

Mac is great too was going to go with a Mac last year, but ended up getting my Qosmio from Toshiba, and no i dont regret making that choice, till now no bugs no errors...its the way you handle your stuff!
oh and Mac's down side is for example a fkn 80$ for a mouse...

^ Might slow u down depending on the specs.
But being able to run windows and mac software at once is a genius idea.
You can even partition you HD and install both on different partitions
(using Bootcamp that comes already installed on ur Mac) and select which
do you want to use when you power up.

Icepick, Mac haters exist just like Windows haters. But I've used both and
so far, Mac makes more sense than Windows.
It's so simple: you want to uninstall a software? No problem, just drag the
icon to the Trash. No uninstall icons, no looking for left-behind files..
nothing.. you're uninstalling because you don't want it so puufff you want it
gone. And you don't lose files if you know where you put them and here's
the first tip for information management: Back-up.

Windows, Mac, Linux... doesn't matter... always back-up. Something that
the clown in the youtube video couldn't think of when giving out about
data recovery, needless to mention that you can recover data in Mac using
built-in utility tools.

It's expensive. That's the only bit that I can agree on. Quality comes at a
price, and if you want a PC v Mac debate, then Windows has the upper
hand in price, but not in anything else. I saved for it, paid for it, cried
about what I paid, but so far I've had mint operation and results.

Joining the Mac vs Windows conflict...I'll have to say that Mac provides a much better graphic resolution and a much better performance...if you want to work on graphic designs my advice would be to go with the Mac...now of course the price issue is a big one especially here in Lebo-land...but if you strive for quality then there should be no hesitation when it comes to choosing your laptop...
