Any kid who grew up in Lebanon in the early 90's MUST know Captain Majed! He was my personal hero (I admit :mrgreen:) and I used to OBSESSIVELY watch his series (every Saturday morning at 8 on LBC, right after King Arthur and right before Transformers :P).

Recently, a weird sequence of events that I'm to ashamed to tell led me to unearthing a buried gem!

Perhaps not all of you know about this, but Captain Tsubasa (the original Japanese character) was made into a video game on what we in Lebanon call "family game" (real name is Famicom) and then bootlegged to Arabic by some unknown GENIUS. Well that was my favorite game back then (right next to Prince Of Persia 1 and Stunts :roll:) and guess what? I JUST FOUND A WORKING PC VERSION OF IT! :D

I used to watch his series too in France, where he was called Capitaine Robert. I loved him!

Update: this is Part 2 of the game, after Majed wins the world cup and moves to play with Sao Paolo in Brazil, so although the gameplay is identical to Part 1, the players are Brazilian, not "Arab". You can find a French version of Part 1 on the same website (captainmajed.com) with the characters we used to watch in the series, but under Japanese names...

I just won my first game 5-1 :mrgreen:
