Unfortunately however, this is no joking matter. Last Saturday night (August 20), thousands of happy, innocent revellers were subject to an aggresive bust by the US police and national guard. Versus 2, an event held in Spanish Fork Canyon Utah, was a bonafide legal event with all the correct permits, licences and appropriate insurance intact. Just like the events we know and love in Blighty, they'd hired security, bordered off specific areas, provided sanitary services and conducted their own searches. Versus looked set to be a well organised, peaceful party...
At approximately 11.30pm the rave was circled by low flying helicopters and within minutes ravers found themselves target of aggresive police force. Visit the website below for frank accounts of what happened on this fateful night; events such as girls getting tasered for carrying cameras, and innocent punters being beaten for no other reason other than being there are explicitly told in abundance. It proves as a shocking read and echoes events in the UK some 10 years ago… but with 21st century weapons and the gung-ho US military attitude.
