During the past few years DJ Orkidea has done some bootlegs for his use and now these mixes will be released on two white labels. The mixes feature versions of Opus III's Fine Day, Vangelis' Procession,
Sasha vs Underworld's (funnily named) Xpanding Girl and most notably his massive remix of theme from the Requiem From a Dream movie – previously a remix target of Leama & Moor’s. These tracks have of lately been played by Marco V, Above & Beyond, John '00' Flemming and Scott Bond just to name a few. Trance.nu have had a dive into all four of them and can tell that this two plastics will be sought-after records imidiately after release!
On the official release front, after the recently released remix of Tilt's 'Twelve', there will be a new Orkidea single coming out on UK based
Five AM Records. The 12" will feature the new track 'Embrace' with a
masssive Orkidea vs Super8 remix which is a rocking Oakenfold "back in 1995-ish" production and on B-side will be remix of 'Beautiful' by Sunday Club's Marc Mitchell which is an amazing 12 minute journey
full of trancey soundscapes, pianos, acoustic guitars and spoken word movie samples. Orkidea will also be collaborating with Marc on
a track called 'Eternal Love' later during the spring.
