OneBigSunday @ LaVoileBleue (Rmeile) {REVIEW}

After the last successes of this event at different beaches, MixFM threw yet another successful OneBigSunday, this time at La Voile Bleue in Rmeile.

I won't waste your time with all the details about the beach and the weather and all that, so I'll get straight to the point (besides I'm too tired :P): AMADEUS' set.

What can I say... It's been over a month now since PvD's event gave us a dose of what AMADEUS has to offer (except for the weekly Rhythm Nation of course), so our trancy heads were craving for another live set from Lebanon's and the region's leading Trance DJ. It was magical from start to finish; no words can ever describe what a trancer feels when placed in the arena of a top notch DJ who "knows his shit" as they say, so you'll just have to settle for the tracklist and judge for yourselves. Naturally the tracklist is missing, because (as you all already know) whenever AMADEUS is spinning DIONYSOS would be raving like a madman from the very first beat til the very last beat, so here it goes:

Randy Katana ~ In Silence [Summer Salinas Mix]
Paul van Dyk ~ For An Angel
Cygnus X ~ Orange Theme [Roth Mix]
The Rush ~ Sensation Anthem 2004
Chicane ~ Saltwater [CJ Stone Remix]
Armin van Buuren ~ Burned With Desire [Rising Star Remix]

There are still a couple of tracks I forgot, so whoever was there and could remember what they were please post a reply and I'll add them to the tracklist.

Yes it wasn't a long set, but it was enough to get us in that "state of Trance" that AvB named his whole show after. It's really meaningless to talk about the mixing skills and all that because you are all devoted Rhythm Nation fans so you know exactly who you're dealing with. The crowd was impressing as well; the dancefloor was packed during the entire set and people were really getting into the music until some kids started breakdancing in the middle of the floor and scared away some ravers.

One thing that deserves to be noted about today is certain promotional move that we took on. I would have to ask electro-sam to post a topic by itself about it as it deserves one, and he is the most knowledgable about this specific project so he could fill you in on all the details.

Well, once again AMADEUS was impressive, and once again he made us experience that which very few local DJs make us experience - quality Trance. So AMADEUS, thank you again; even if in this website we are equal and we are all working hard for this cause each person in his own way, but on behalf of every true trancer in here: thank you for the music.

TranceHits.com members present there (or at least the ones I ran into) were:
AMADEUS
DIONYSOS
electro-sam
SamEr
TRANCExual
Dreamboy
MalcomX
commando
hasneez
DIPPS
jucky13
hass
inTrance
Johnny
Yara

I may have left some people out, so please tell me who you are so I add your name to the list.

See you all next Sunday @ LaGuava beach where MixFM will host yet another OneBigSunday!

Amadeus will spin more trance tunes next sunday at LA GUAVA.

DIO and Trancexual you missed maDJam who is the House DJ at Mix FM. He promised me to join more often this time and happily accepted our TranceHits.com CD we compiled for the selected Trance fans we met.

As I promised I'd sign in and join the forums!

So... Yeah.. Sunday was fun! Def the best day-time party so far... Music-wise the Urban music went down the best... mainly because thanx to MTV & the cultural dumping it provides to the entire world is taking it's toll.

All the hip-hop and RnB has dominated the airwaves of the world, and it's evident in the Mix FM playlist and request line. 10 years ago Radio One refused to play "What's My Name" by Snoop Dogg, but now 40% of the stations' playlist is consisted of urban music. So as the entertainment media gets more "Globalized" we'll all be listening to the same music.

Now the House set was intended to be commercial. Sometimes ya just gotta play for the "commercial" crowd... once into it, Deep Dish's FLASHDANCE (biggest tune of the summer everywhere) emptied out the dancefloor... well, next time it's gonna have to be E-Samba & Calinda... people only like music they are heavily exposed to. It's becoming a bad trend all over the clubs... but subsequently it's gotta be the same traxx on the beach as well.....

sing-a-long songs!

it's all good...
