Trance has the power to unite people around the world no matter their nationality or color in this article from ETN.fm...

Symbols of Friendship in the Midst of War
Two men bridge the divide of war through music

As Israeli tanks poise to strike even deeper into Lebanon in an attempt to push Hezbollah back from their border, citizens of both countries live each day in fear of persistent air strikes and rocket attacks. In such a tense climate, it seems nearly impossible to bridge the growing gap between Beirut and Tel Aviv.

However two young men in this region have accomplished what the governments and citizens of these countries and the world at large have not: peaceful cooperation. The vehicle for this is, of course, Trance.

ETN is proud and honored to announce that DJs Black Dragon of ILTA: Israel's Trance Addiction and DJ Amadeus of Destination Beirut are are braving the political and social climates of their respective countries
to make a statement of peace through music by exchanging guestmixes on their shows this month. First up will be Amadeus on ILTA Friday 11 August and then Black Dragon on Destination Beirut Friday, 25 August
(heavy replays of both shows throughout this month and next).

Music has often been used for political purposes in the past, but this exchange is meant not as a statement on politics but rather a statement of humanity in the midst of chaos. These progressive men of vision in a region filled extremists hope to show their neighbors and the world that it is possible for jews and arabs to set aside their differences and disagreements and work together in peace. For Amadeus living in a country where simply talking to an Israeli is considered by many to be treason, the symbolism of such an exchange is more than evident. (Imagine if people like them were in charge! -Will)

The internet has brought the entire world together in incredible ways. For two people who have never met, citizens of nations currently at war, to reach out to one another in a deeply personal way is a moving example of how despite political, cultural, religious and geographic differences the entire world is inexorably linked by common
threads of basic humanity and love of music.

ETN.fm, the internet radio home of these and a multitude of other top producers and DJs from around the world is the largest and most diverse non-profit electronic music station on the internet, offering 100% commercial free streams ranging from modem/dialup to broadband/extremely high quality across 3 dance music themed channels and a massive downloads section. Chadi I had the utmost respect for you and your music before but this is really fantastic. If more people our age thought like you we wouldn't be in this fucking mess we are now. Drop the bass, drop the fucking beats, and tell the world that we want peace through BPMs!
MUCH RESPECT!
