I miss those days, I really do. I've been absent for quite a while but it's good to see the forum pumping with energy.

To all parties involved in the latest altercation: Calm the heck down!!! I don't care much what Van Dyk played or how many times he played it, and I don't care much about the difference in the concepts whether it is a Corsten gig or a Van Dyk gig. You all need to calm down and stop accusing each others foolishly.

Swift, please take it easy, this is not the place nor the timing to discuss such private issues.

Raneem's reply said it all concerning the set and I'll use it as the main reference.

Not everyone will enjoy the gig and some people will think that it was a very entertaining night (I heard a lot of mixed reviews, and since I didn't attend I will slam my pie-hole).

I just have to ask one question: Did Paul play Zombie Nation?? I heard he did, and there were mixed emotions when I thought about it.

Welcome to DJ.Malaria you may wonder why I called this group Dj Malaria.
Just like Malaria takes over a person's body when it hits them i want my music's originality to control the soul of whoever hears it in that sense my music is more powerful than Malaria, and I'm sure it will but in a positive way of
course.

Just when I decide to check TH again and see what's going on, you all remind me of the reason i stopped!

How immature can someone get?
Answer: All of the above!

This topic is about PVD's event in Beirut. Therefore, please do stick TO THAT TOPIC. And have some decency to show respect to everyone mentioned in your posts, whether it is the DJs, The Organizers, or simply other members on this forum.

What's really funny is that a change of the organizers for the same DJs would turn this topic totally upside down..

Anyway, for now I will just be nice enough to remove any post that portrays his owner as an ignorant, an impolite, and a stupid individual.

Hopefully, next visit I'll be tempted enough to lock the topic.

I'm not trying to re-ignite hostilities in here, but I can't see in any way how this was a "war" against Mix FM. Those who were "bashing" the event were simply saying that PvD's performance were not good. The criticisms were aimed at PvD, not at MixFM. Read all comments again, nothing against MixFM. Even swift didn't aim an attack at MixFM, he was simply criticizing PvD.

From what I see, those who are defending MixFM here simply took those critics against PvD as critics of their own, which they aren't.

There is a big difference between criticizing the DJ at the event (which is what happened), and criticizing the organizers of the event (which didn't happen, yet all the fuss is about this).

Now maybe those who were criticizing PvD have ulterior motives behind this, mainly MixFM, but from what I read, nothing was aimed at the organizers.

And btw, I don't know who removed swift's rant at Amadeus. I don't know neither of the two guys and I'm not defending anyone. But swift was simply replying at Amadeus' "get a life" insult. Why does one get away with an insult and the other no? Sure, swift's was more vicious, but regardless, both of them were in the wrong.

Very poor handling of this situation. And an even poorer reply from someone whose supposed to be one of the pillars of this forum. "Get a life"? Seriously?

I think the concept of 'Freedom of Speech and Expression' is somehow obscured on this forum! :?

Big difference between freedom of speech and freedom of insulting others.
Big difference as well between saying "Get a life", and between personally attacking someone in a hostile way.

Inappropriate posts will still be deleted. And I will not lock the topic. I've changed my mind, and would like to see people actually learning to converse in a decent way for a change.
For a change, I would like an argument on TH to end in a way other than the usual "TOPIC LOCKED" phrase.

Many things going on behind the scenes. Almost all of the posts in here have other hidden motives.
Let the posts have all they want of motives, yet, I am sure that can be done with a little bit of respect.

And just for the record, all of you, seriously, do get a life!!

I have to fully agree with what Fawzi & Firas said, I was talking to Firas earlier today and we predicted the ending of this discussion to be exactly as what just happened. Someone shows up and throws some sense then one of the people involved in the argument praises them (A day or 2 later a higher power will lock this for the safety of the forum's democracy) and this is where the story ends until the next event, Honestly i am ashamed being a part of a place with people having that much hatred towards each other, This situation has been going on for years now, i don't think 'Grow up' is gonna do it anymore, some people that intentionally offended others in this thread are over 30 years old !!
There's no room to criticize anything because whoever criticizes a tiny glitch in any event is gonna be automatically accused of being driven by someone else on the other side, regardless what your input may-be on any event you better keep it to yourself because there's no way you're gonna be heard, despite my up-most respect to the people that run this place I think TH is completely biased and cornered itself due to the bad handling of threads such as this one, i won't elaborate more because i don't want to offend anyone, personally all i can say is that i'm done with this place as far as posting goes.

guys guys guys!!
How the hell can some of you criticize the event/pvd/mixfm when they did not attend that event?? Based on what "the majority" of the attendees said?
I wasnt there, so i have nothing to say abt the event itself!

I fully praise Fawzi, Firas and Nick for what they said. Such a shame, I can be no longer a member of a biased community where freedom of speech doesn't exist and moderators delete whetever suits them. Let this be a mix fm only advertising forum :) enjoy it guys, farewell!

Guys with all due respect to this forum, why don't you do a background check, criminal check, and record history for new joiners? LOL that would save you spending time picking up on everyone and accusing them that they are disrespecting others while they are actually giving their personal opinion.

What's the thing with the continuous threats of locking topics? Can't you just leave it flow here...people have different views.

And for the people that cannot accept loss or failure, well what can I say if you are worried about your career that's a different story!

You cannot be criticizing something where you are actually enrolled in it. That would be called stupid objectivity!

Please take my advice and be professional when replying to me so that no one will lock it up.

Thank you.

^What's so upsetting for you with threatening to lock the topic??

People have different views, so do accept the Moderator's view regarding lack of manners in some of the posts! Practice what you preach.
It's not like we have fun locking and unlocking topics.
We are only the misfortunate, who have to take action and stop the silly quarrels happening between our cute little kids.
Letting it flow, would turn this forum into a jungle, where everyone will start fighting with everyone.
What's even more sad is that such arguments are bound to happen after each and every event:
A party bashes.
Another defends and accuses.
Members fight.
Moderator gives a little speech and locks the topic.

I wish we could find a way that our members learn to respect each other, be mature, and most importantly be OBJECTIVE in their statements, but it just seems very close to impossible.
I just wish we were less stupid, and cared a bit more about music, for real.

Mind you, the topic never got locked.
