The Brits may have snubbed dance music this year, but what would they know…they had Chris Evans compering the event for heaven sake! Now the Grammies are a different case altogether. An award ceremony you can set your watch by, this incredibly glam ceremony actually added a dance category, and, we’re proud to tell you, it was won by good old British people!
So without further a do, here’s the all important winners…
Best electronic/dance album: Basement Jaxx – ‘Kish Kash’
Best electronic/dance single: Britney Spears – ‘Toxic’ <<

Best R&B single: Alicia Keys – ‘You Don’t Know My Name’
Best R&B album: Alicia Keys – ‘The Diary Of Alicia Keys’
Best rap single: Kanye West – ‘Jesus Walks’
Best rap album: Kanye West – ‘The College Dropout’
Best rap solo performance: Jay-Z – ‘99 Problems’
Best rap performance by a duo or group: Black Eyed Peas – ‘Let’s Get It Started’
Best rap/sung collaborations: Usher feat. Lil Jon and Ludacris – ‘Yeah’
Best remix: No Doubt – It’s My Life (Jacques Lu Cont’s Thin White Duke Mix) <<

On the other hand, the Grammies are also an event you may want to set your alarm by…last night saw 107 awards go out in total! The most humorous award was Best Album Notes (won by Loren Schoenberg for witty and insightful remarks in the sleeve the Complete Columbia Recordings of Woody Hermannnn and His Orchestra and Woodchoppers – just in case you were wondering).
