Looking for a festival further afield than Blighty this summer? Then perhaps the Sonica festival might be in order.
Situated in the idylic surroundings of northern Italy’s Lake Bolsena, Sonica is the country’s first ever dance festival and it looks pretty impressive. Four days of sublime sounds are on offer from wild psy trance and pumping prog to ambient and world music, there’s a delectable dish to compliment almost any palate.
Acts include Infected Mushroom, Hallucinogen, Sub 6, Bamboo Forest, Simon Posford, Nick Panic and the humorously titled Wizzy Noize. Now there’s an international itinerary if ever we did see one!
So with further ado, here’s the essential information… The festival runs from August 5-8, the tickests are a mere E40-E55 and it’s in Italy, so there’s no need to worry about waterproofs or winter warmers!
