Ronin & Nesta have become two of the most interesting names on the Lebanese DJ scene. Their sound is a distinctive blend of Progressive House and Techno, with a bold twist of uniqueness added to it!
Putting their numerous skills to use in a variety of domains, early 2006, Beirut In the Mix was created (www.beirutinthemix.com); a now popular events, management and booking agency, throwing parties between Beirut and Paris.
Ronin & Nesta, spinning at the hippest clubs in Beirut, the city described as “establishing itself as one of the hottest in the world”, they host a weekly radio show residency on NRJ Mastermix (www.nrjlebanon.com) every Friday night at 10, a monthly residency at Beirut's most active club, the basement (www.beirutbasement.com), as well as recording guest sessions for afterhours.fm, danceradio.gr, ubradio.net, theSUC and friskyradio.
The past few months have seen Ronin & Nesta’s profile grow into the unmistakable sound of warm-ups and after-hours sets for top-notch artists Above & Beyond, Deep Dish, Tiesto, Satoshi Tomiie, Marco V, David Vendetta, also performing alongside John Acquaviva, Wally Lopez and Cosmic Gate, to name a few and supporting Jim Rivers in his Nubreed Global Underground World Tour early 2009.
Most recently, the duo have become the first official Dance4Life ambassadors in Lebanon (www.dance4life.com), pushing back the spread of HIV and AIDS alongside international names like Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Judge Jules and Sander Van Doorn.
Local forums and official events reviewers describe them as being “the fastest rising Lebanese DJs” and “the talk of town”. Widely acclaimed by Beirut’s clubbing scene, they are “known for being highly interactive during their live sets, paired with professional mixing skills and tasteful track selection”.
Now with their long awaited productions, hotspot gigs and monthly residencies, Ronin & Nesta are with no doubt “two names to look after in the future of the EDM scene”.
