BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix has always been considered a benchmark for the highest DJs/producers to showcase their music. Come 14th February (3AM – 5AM GMT) Sean Tyas will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Sasha, Paul van Dyk and Mauro Picotto, when he makes his debut on the legendary programme to deliver a continuous two hour mix exclusively for the show.
Sean’s rise through the ranks in the past 24 months has been nothing short of meteoric - from climbing to #54 in the definitive DJ Mag Top 100 Poll, holding down an international residency for all Godskitchen’s Global Gathering festivals, sweeping the club circuit with dates at superclubs like Ministry of Sound in Singapore, Pacha in Brazil and Circus in Los Angeles, collaborating with the current 2x World number 1 DJ Armin van Buuren and being included as one of the nominees for ‘Best Trance Artist’ in this year’s Beatport awards. It is fair to say this next step marks a momentous occasion in Sean’s career.
