Epos - All Saints Day (Roger Shah's Original Mix)
This being the 3rd Epos release, you probably heard Vivagio and Adagio Espressivo already. So you know the basics of this alias. It's been a while since i've heard such a beautiful 'soundtrack' based track. It starts off with the recognizable shah percussion and beat. The kick is very strong, i was almost shocked by it on the first spin. Neverless it's well fitting into the whole track. Then there is the break which is just beautiful! What a talented producer Roger Shah is to compose such a fine classical 'movie' soundtrack! First i thought i've heard the melody before, but after some searching, i ended up with nothing. So i really give credits to Roger for this one! The synth melody follows the strings and pads perfectly and will get stuck in your head for a while! Wonderfull tune here, just in time to make it into the Top 2008 charts for me.
Epos - All Saints Day (Club Mix)
The club mix sounds a lot different from the Original version, altough it stays in the same element. I've had to get used to the 'wompy' bassline, but it was easy to get known with. The break stays the same fortunatly, and the melodic synth melody had the same impact as the original mix. Have no idea why this is called a "club mix" as it could easily be called "2nd version" or something like that. Not a track that will get a lot of spin time in 'common' dutch clubs unfortunatly. Besides the bassline and some percussion changes this difference not that much from Shah's original. All i can say i love them both!
Epos - All Saints Day (Extended Club Mix)
This 3rd mix is as you assume an extended version of the Club mix, but it has some little changes after the first break. When the soundtrack part is over the synth melody keeps on looping to create a suspence for the 2nd break. After that break it continues with the same familiar melody off both other melodies. I'm not really that sure why he made this version. I rather saw a remix from another producer as 3rd track. Still a strong track though, and make sure to check out the samples i've created of all tracks.
