^ last year @ the sleepless nights @ BIEL , it was 50 % quality crowd ... at Michel De Hey (2007) it is true that we were few (maybe 500-600 if i remember) but it was 90% quality and classy people ...

^ I rather stay in Lebanon and try make a change with expressing my opinion.

The problem with Sleepless this year is Basement itself. It's not a club - its more like a "lounge" as Diabolix said. It's where Basementers go and take pictures with their latest Canon's and Nokia cell phones and post them on Facebook the next day. It's where Djette L is huge and can make the crowd go crazy with cheesy music.. (no offense for Djette, I like her and she's a good friend of mine).

Michel De Hey's music was wicked and I loved it.. but the crowd was dead and there were flashing camera's every other second that it got extremely irritating. A place that filled up by 1am and was entirely empty by 3am causing De Hey to stop his supposed-to-be 6 hour set after only 2 hours - that to me at least is a major flop for the organizers.

With Kintars latest sets and weird African/South American jungle sounds and dark underground "shit" he would have worked better at B 018 and the BO crowd. I'm 100% certain Basement has no idea who the hell Kintar is and what he plays since "DIAMOND SETTER vs. XANDER" are opening up.. Too bad Shiva isn't allowed to play at BO.. otherwise, it would have been extremely promising.

(ps. of course you'd hear stunning things.. as they say in Lebanese.. ma 7ada be2oul 3an zeiteto 3ikreen *wink*wink*)

with how nightlife is turning up in Lebanon?! Basement crowd and BO crowd.. ppl so different then claiming to listen to similar taste of music.. i'm really starting to prefere to stay home than going to both! i dont wanna sound so pessimistic, but seriously nowadays ppl are divided in 2 categories: EDM clubbers and EDM listeners!!
clubbers of both Basement and BO in their majority are only EDM clubbers, i prefere to be and stay, like i've always been, an EDM listener! clean, sober, conscious, with no flashing cameras nor a webpage to fill with pics the next day!

only music to aurally waste me :mrgreen:
