7amdella 3al salama...
Hope things we'll get better..
Anyway I have been somehow able to make it and here's a brief review of the overall gig:
* The venue: OCEANA, a nice and exotic beach resort. The place was well partitioned with a small area in front of the DJ scene, a VIP section to the left and a large area to the right where bars and toilets were located. One litlle comment, too bad the area around the swimming pool was completely closed and sieged with barriers. An important, agreable area was therefore lost.
* Stage - Lights: The DJ stage was respectable, maybe a little narrow but quite fine. The lighting system was poor with pink, green and yellow lights reminding me of "Najwa Karam's" concert

No laser or whatsoever was present. The overall ligthing system was very basic and preliminary. Strobs were present but not that effective. Hence the overall lighting setup could have been much much better. One little note: A big screen projecting few ad visuals and live video of the crowd was great and extremely efficient in 'spicing' up the atmosphere.
* Sound: For those standing right in front of the stage, the sound was fine. Otherwise, it wasn't powerful enough with a few spots where 'double sound' could be heard. (That is the music + the music's echo @ the same time) For those standing on the right that is next to the entrance, bars and toilets, sound was not powerful at all. For those in the VIP section, this remains to be unknown since i didn't have the chance to be there and experience the sound. All in all, sound system although quality wise acceptable could have been way much powerful and its coverage smarter and more efficient.
* Seb Fontaine: One word describing it: ASTONISHING.
Seb has really burnt the decks friday night. Starting with some groovy & funky house music, he began increasing the tone progressively when reaching progressive, uplifting house even further, reaching sometimes the hard house frontiers.
A very solid and genuine tracklist combined with talented and intelligent mixing. Hence, seb could have been more interactive with the crowd; other than the 'Marhaba Lebanon' said at the start, he seemed totally focused on his mixing and didn't interact that much with the crowd.
* Crowd: Maybe the finest crowd in Lebanon: incredibly energetic, positive, active, bouncy, vigorous, lively & sparkling. The highest quality one can find, embracing the music to the max. Only one downfall, the number: a maximum total of 500 persons were present. (Including VIPs and others) Hopefully next gigs will experience much more.
Conclusion: A very interesting and positive night with an ambience, atmosphere very unique and electrified. Music was amazing with DJs delivering what today's House music has best to offer. Also very smooth and fluid mixing. Nevertheless light + sound system needed major improvement & crowd could have been much bigger.
