Place: La Voile Blue - Rmeily - Lebanon
Time: around 11:00 PM
It was more than half packed when I reached the event with a few of my friends.. AMADEUS was already on the decks warming up and ppl where starting to get in the mood, almost everyone was either busy blowing his/her inflatable free hand or his/her whistle.. the tension was building up as time went by and it was clear that things are going to only get bigger and bigger..
Trancehitters were gradually coming up and by time our group got bigger and bigger all excited for this big event and all happy to meet eachother and party as one entity under the love of Trance music!
The setup was even better than PvD's event, smaller but more organized, the VIP area was beautifully set high above the pool area and the regular section was right in front of the stage which in return was beautifully set with 2 lazers, many lights and several screens in addition to a huge projector behind the DJ and another on even bigger in the back of the regular area.. also the bar being somehow far from the dancing arena is much more better as it serves in better serving and making a somehow less populated zone if someone needed space which proved to be essential later on when the whole place was fully packed!! I just want to share a personal opinion that I think if the stage can be lower a bit it might be better as it can still be seen from the back crowd and in the same time it'll creat a better interaction with the DJ and would make the crowd feel more concerned with what the DJ is doing behind the booth.
AMADEUS was as usual crisp in his mixing, successfuly putting everyone in the right mood and gradually taking them higher and higher with great tracks such as Vangelis - Procession (Orkidea Remix), Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Gabriel and Dresden Unplugged Mix)
which made the crowd go really wild! in addition to the beautiful Mark Otten - So Serene and Armin van Buuren - Zocalo among many other tracks that will surely be all listed by AMADEUS himself later on..
It was almost 12:40 when the man himself Ferry Corsten was going up to the stage, then got back as it was still early to go on, and stayed next to the stage with a few ppl from the organization team and bunch of fans (including myself) who were trying to get a glimpse of this super DJ!
I've always read and heard ppl talking about Ferry and how nice he was, how much he loved and respected his fans but it was all different than when someone would experience it by himself!! and that's just what happened to me.. I was trying hard to get a pic with Ferry and asking dear Johnny to help with this difficult task as Ferry was surrounded and guarded by many and somehow far from where i was standing.. to my shock Ferry notices me and he comes all the way to greet me and was so nice when asked to have a pic with him to agree!! moreover I requested from him if he can play Eon - Pocket Damage and his answer was that if he got it he will play it!

Few minutes later on, Ferry got on the decks, ppl screaming in joy and Ferry - as usual - full of smiles and energy and clubbing behind the decks more than DJing.. who couldnt enjoy such a view and such an attitude from one of the biggest DJ in the world!!
his set started with the wonderful Sublime, emotions floating all the way! a wonderful track that surely set off a beautiful journey of a great night to be remembered.
The tracks kept on flowing and hit after hit the DJ took us all on a journey full of emotions and banging beats switching from melodic to progressive and tech returning back to melodic..
The highlights of the set where a few track that set the crowd on fire like the his own remix if BT - Force Of Gravity and Air For Life not to mention the chaos that almost all his tracks caused when played especially Rock Your Body Rock where ppl went literally insane and Ferry was clearly enjoying every moment of it! In addition to the huge Guarana that blew the crowd off with its energy and power! a great track indeed.
At the last 30 minutes things got back emotional and Ferry started playing his legendary Out Of The Blue followed by Veracosha and ending with the my most emotional moment when he dropped Eon - Pocket Damage OMG!! i was so speechless! Ferry just played my request!! could it be cooler than that?! could he be nicer than this?!
It was time for AMADEUS to go over the decks at around 4:30 in the morning, but before Ferry leaves ppl where screaming for more, and many knew how the ending was gonna look like.. THE BIGGEST OF THEM ALL!! Ferry rewarded the eager crowd with one of the best Trancer EVER!! his super emotional remix of William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings. Total ownage!!
After that Ferry waved goodbye as AMADEUS got behind the decks again with no mercy whatsoever as he kept on hammering the crowd with one trancer after the other with the likes of Satellite, Crush and the wonderful Dark Side of The Moon - Neo and Farina Dub Mix which set the dancefloor on fire!!
All in all one of my personal best events in my life! Ferry Corsten definitely deserves a comeback to Lebanon, many thanks to the organization which was even better than PvD's event (with some minor errors like in the sound at the start of Ferry's set) but as we know no1 is perfect and the whole event was more than a success..
Many thanks goes to the organizers of this event - Bacardi Breezer and MixFM - who once more proved that they are always improving and delivering quality dance events to satisfy the growing number of eager Lebanese clubbers.
Thanks to Ferry Corsten for being the great DJ/producer and the wonderful nice person that he is.. and if Bacardi or MixFM are reading this PLS WE WANT FERRY ANOTHER TIME!!
Thanks for AMADEUS who is always giving a great and professional image of the Lebanese DJs and Clubbers and never cease to impress the crowd with his wonderful sets and sweet interaction with the crowd!
Finally, Thanks to all the Lebanese clubbers and Trancers and especially to the Trancehitters who proved once more that they are real clubbers by heart and knows well how to party hard! thanks again and i was so glad to meet you all especially the new ones.. much respect and love!
