We got there early on the evening to make sure that everything was going as planned. Drinks in the fridge, tables in place, sound & light installed... Everything was setup the way we wanted it to be, so we went on and grabbed a quick bite to eat, for we new we had a long night ahead of us.
AMADEUS started off the night with some progressive breaks at around 10PM. Our friends and invites started arriving at around 10:30, and they were all impressed with the location (though it was a bit hard to reach), the sound quality, and the "jeux de lumiere". At around 11 the place was starting to get crowded, and so AMADEUS built up his set to a more melodically progressive vibe, getting the people in the right mood for what's to come.
Just when the crowd was craving for it, our DJ threw in Seven Nation Army and the floor got packed! The night truly began at this point. Trancer after trancer, AMADEUS was pounding those tracks one after the other, brilliantly selected & mixed (complete tracklist will be posted soon). By now it was past midnight and our crowd of ~70~ was having a blast! The floor never got empty, the drinks never stopped coming, and the music was nothing but pure euphoric Trance. Could you really picture a night sweeter than this?
Besides all the boys and girls dancing, you could always notice that occasional tear on someone's face, or that trademark "kneel to the DJ" with someone else, not to forget emotional moments like trancers holding hands in one line and jumping one jump, to Pibito kissing the TranceHits.com logo on AMADEUS' shirt, to repetitive screams of "TranceHits.com", to all of us shouting "A-MA-DEUS A-MA-DEUS A-MA-DEUS" whenever he made miracles, especially with that new effect machine of his - Shadi, you were like Schumacher on his Ferrari with that effector! The ambiance was truly emotional, which is to no surprise to us since all that was played was Trance and nothing besides.
All in all, it was one hell of a night. We truly enjoyed it; everyone did. The place, the music, the drinks, the crowd, the DJ, the love... All of these elements were combined to make this night one to remember for a long time.
I have always received compliments on my detailed reviews, but I chose to make this one shorter than usual. I chose that so that every one of you who was there that night would add his own perspective on this night and not just reply to my review in a couple of words. So please, do that; we are really eager to find out how our first event impacted each and every one of you.
The most important part of my review is this: THANK YOU!
- For all the TranceHits.com members who were able to come - thank you.
- For all the new trancers we met on this magical night - thank you.
- For all the friends of ours who are not that much into Trance but who came along because they believe in our mission - thank you.
- For Janomeg, who was with us from the first moment to the last moment of the night, taking pictures and filming videos and recording the set - thank you. (and expect a very nice surprise from Jean soon!)
- For AMADEUS, without whom there wouldn't be such a successful event, not because he was the DJ, but because he was a great one - thank you.
* Last and surely not least, for the crowd. I was telling Pibito this during the party: there is no DJ without his crowd, and there is no party without you guys.
Alicia: you really spiced up the night and shined on the dancefloor - thank you.
Sergio: you are a genuine music lover, and that was mostly shown when Wir Sind Wir was played - thank you.
Dreamboy & Nitrate: although you arrived late because you had to, but your presence was nonetheless appreciated - thank you.
Aleco: you finally received the answer for your question "what is Trance culture?" by being part of it - thank you.
Fadi, Farid, Suheil, Marwan: my childhood friends... converting you into Trance back in 99 brought us even closer, and this night was the proof to that - thank you.
Joe: you had to quit your job to make it to our gathering, and we will never forget that sacrifice - thank you.
Yara: although you had to leave early, but just the fact that you made it means a lot, especially with that TranceHits.com drawn on your leg and the champagne you brought along - thank you.
Ramzi & Ziad: it is always good to see you dancing to Trance like nobody's watching - thank you.
Johnny: I know how hard it was for you to make it there that night and yet you did - better late than never!
ALL OF YOU WHO I LEFT OUT: I didn't leave you out deliberately, but with so many trancers present that night (and so much alcohol in my blood) it's hard to remember everyone. Nevertheless, thank you all.
And finally, to the TranceHits.com crew who made this dream come true - THANK YOU. (It feels funny thanking myself!

It was you who made this happen, every single one of you, each in his own way. Yes we did work hard for this, and yes we did endure all the expenses, but it was seeing all of you in such harmony and joy that made it all worthwhile; all our efforts were rewarded with that smile that was drawn on your faces, with that phenomenal joy that was manifested in your dancing, with the very kind words that some of you told us... You really touched us people, more than we had expected, and no matter how much we thank you it would never be sufficient to express our joy & gratitude - so instead of thanking you with words, we will thank you with a promise: a promise that this is not the last Voyage Into Trance, a promise that this is not the last of TranceHits.com that you see, and finally a promise that this is only the beginning; the beginning of a definite metamorphosis of Trance music's weight in Lebanon. And you are all part of it.

That means around 20 members (mind you that the forum was closed for the few days before the event) so around 50 other outsiders were there! Now that's impressive for a first event!
If I left anyone out (once again due to alcohol
