In war or in peace..
In sickness or in health..
We'll Be Dancing!!

With unfortunate situations not letting us gather and party as much as we really want to, missing a beach party hosted by not only one, but TWO of our our best DJs and friends: DIONYSOS and Raneem would be inexcusable!

I arrived late La Voile Blue, at around 12:30, were the DJs were working on the sound system, and THerz were on the sands.
I went down the wooden stairs to the beats of Light The Skies, and said hi to everyone.
The weather was nice, and the place was not too crowded, and the overall atmosphere was chilled.

Now, for the main section of the review: The two Djs behind the decks!
First of all, I would really love to congratulate you and salute you guys on an amazing job done. For all those who don't know, Saleem and Raneem were feeling very ill the night before, but frankly, i didn't feel that and almost forgot it for a second or two.

As for the performance, well i can seriously say that it was the best I've heard from the guys, ever! Too bad not many were there to witness this, but i have really enjoyed the set guys. Again, excellent job!

DIONYSOS was on the warmup, his field of expertise! His set managed to maintain the chilled out mood, yet gradually increase the level of excitation! He played lots of new, kick-ass tracks, including a very special one by our C-rouge, named REDEMPTION!

C-rouge, i'll briefly congratulate you on another, definitely-successful production because i think Redemption deserves a review on its own ;)! My friends did not believe me when i was pointing at you and telling them :He's the one who made this music! The track is absolutely distilled quality, keep it up!

Raneem, on the other hand, had a very clear statement! Enough with the slight moves, let's do some dancing!
Our "Sweet" lad pushed the beats, raised the bpm up, and hammered us with all the tracks we've been going crazy about in the recent few months back, including some of his very own productions ;)! Again, very professional and definitely smashing!
Lebanese DJs make us proud, but our producers make us even prouder!!

I can go on and on about the performance of the two guys, but i'll let the tracklists speak for themselves. (Saleem will submit his later.. or else :P)

The sound system was real good. Not too much bass, and all the elements in the tracks were heard perfectly. Great job with that too.

As i previously mentioned, the place wasn't too much crowded, but the few individuals already present (other than TH members) were seriously dancing! Everyone wad enjoyin the music and vibes. Thw crowd wasn't much educated, which was expected. But we have to mention some of the funny moments, don't we? :P

Raneem had a request from one of the guys at the beach, which he would have fulfilled, but he told me that he forgot the CD at the car... Who let the dogs out? Who ya Raneem? haha

Another thing to mention is that as soon as Raneem wrapped up his set, music turned 180 degrees to total arabic percussions w 7eshik beshik! And then! There was THE DANCING! I think everyone got out of the pools and the sea and just started dancing! It was so crowded out of no where, and it was SO hilarious. What was even more hilarious was the look on Raneem and Saleem's faces! PRICELESS! lol..

But all in all, it was a great day! Great music, great people, great laughs, and a great tan :) What else could we ask for?
Those who missed it, missed out on alot!!
Thanks Raneem and Saleem for a great time spent!
We demand it done again.. and REAL soon!

I love the fact that Raneem had some Arabic music with him. Shows how prepared he was :)
Now THAT's a good DJ! Plus he used to be an Arabic-music DJ too. Good stuff. I did miss this one out. I wish I was there in every event where TH members were.
Glad everyone had fun. :D

Thanks for the sweet review TRANCED!

Well it was quite a fun day at the beach. Yes we were both sick, yes we had some minor sound issues, yes it wasn't really "our" crowd except the always reliable THerz, but we both played great music anyway and more importantly, the RIGHT music to play on a beach party, regardless of the musically ignorant majority that might disagree. Perhaps the only thing that I look back to with unhappyness is the fact that Raneem didn't get to play as long as he was meant to...

Speaking of that bald-headed sweets-eating DJ, it was so great to be part of Raneem's debut, and let me tell you this: this guy kicked off his live career like a pro! From the very first transition he was mixing like a veteran and when it comes to trackselection, the list above speaks louder than words! A big congrats to Raneem for proving to himself and the crowd that he's indeed one of the most promising local DJs today! I also added my own tracklist to the initial post. not too sure about the order though, and I might have left a track or more out...

Big thanks fly out to all the THerz who showed up for support - much appreciated!
