This was my 2nd time I'm gonna check DIO playing after his beautiful set at Rooftop last year. I knew this time the set was gonna be different from the one i experienced before as this time it was gonna be dark and hard like the theme of Artlounge and the mood created althrough the night..
After taking the decks from the house DJ playing before him, around 2 AM, DIO had himself behind the decks and prog & tech trance were the subjects of discussion!!

The mood at Artlounge was pleasant in general with a not so overcrowded place but the problem was with the soundsystem that had too much bass and high causing a bit of distortion along with some lighting probs at the DJ booth causing DIO some difficulties and managing to see properly his surroundings. This didnt keep DIO from delivering what he promised for, a dark proggy and techy set to pump the crowd up with smooth transitions and easy mixing.
unfortunately DIO's set was somehow shorter than schedule as the time was already past late and still the female DJ from cyprus needed to deliver her set..

It was great to get to meet some of the familiar faces from TH at Artlounge and we all made a promise to meet up once again on Feb 17th at Armin's gig hoping to get to see also the ones who couldnt make it yesterday.

DIO made the crowd go really crazy with his set! It was not really my type of music, but it was a gr8 night!

Lovely set, the crowd was really hyped..
But the sound system truly caused damage and pain to my ears!
And the stroboscope thing was very annoying, made me see nothing around..
But in general, a fun night..

Anyways, the party was EXTRAORDINARY (because its my bday). No seriously DIO did deliver one heck of an energetic set. Trance is the name & tech is the game by the one & only DIONYSOS

[align=justify]I arrived with DIONYSOS at 11:30 while DJette L was spinning her minimal sound. I saw people liking it and actually dancing and drinking. You can see and feel them happy. The girl was good technically, but the music is just not my type.

At like 12:30 am, Melonic was getting ready to take over the decks while Maximus was introducing him to the crowd. This introduction part didn’t go well due to echo and poor sound system. However, Melonic went on dropping his Progressive House stuff professionally as if he was reading his crowd's mind! He looked confident and enthusiastic, having a smile on his face the whole time and delivering the best he had! He knew how to let him crowd ask for more, this is one strategy a good DJ uses.
Meanwhile, we, Trancehitters (and thank you for being there) were waiting our DJ impatiently..

And here it came. At 2:00 am DIONYSOS was up! We were looking at him, predicting what this man has prepared us! Again, DIONYSOS was introduced by Maximus as we hear the crowd whistling and screaming. I loved this reaction! And here started the man of our night; DIONYSOS who respected his word and kept his promise, played Dark Progressive along with Tech Trance which made the crowd lose their energy! It was insane to see the crowd jumping all over the venue, barely watching their steps and going wild! DIONYSOS again showed how professional he is. I was talking to Francois (the organizer) and told him: DIONYSOS does love his music. This was shown by the way he was interacting with his crowd, distributing and sharing out his smile to everyone so they feel what the DJ himself is feeling: passion to his music!

At 3:15 am, and since people started leaving, Shiva the Cypriot female DJ took over. She went back to that Dark progressive House which I personally didn’t like!

Some comments:
The organization was good. The sound system was poor. The hierarchy of the night (the 4 DJs and the 4 different genres) wasn’t much organized and logically set. Too much stroboscope thing (as Rania already mentioned). DJ booth’ poor lightening. Too much smoke machine again. [/align]

Dio man ur set was amazing! now that I know how hard it is to mix made me even have more respect towards what you delivered saturday night...

Well I was there from like 10:30, waiting patiently for the music...
when Djette started I started groovin to the music, i loved the minimal, but sometimes she went off to some other genres, not too minimal, which i didn't like nor, did they follow her mood. but all in all she delivered a good set.
Around 12:30 Melonic took over, played an great set, nice proggy sounds.
Then Came Dionysos, and turned us over to the dark side, the second track was a killer, i ran around asking anyone if they knew its name
and the darkness kept going, great tracks, sound system wasn't perfect, but with a few adjustments from the DJz, it was not bad at all, i believe over all the sound quality was good. I disliked a few tracks in Dion's set coz i don't like singing vocals or melodic parts, even if the tracks were Dark, but that's just me. ALL together it was a great set, loved it, and Dion saw how crazy he drove me with his sounds
After Dion DJ Shiva took over, now i believe the organization of the DJz was wrong coz Shiva plays a lower bmp than Dion and melonic, so when she first started it felt very slow and dull for some people. If only Dionysos were to play after Shiva it would've made a build up in the music all thru the night. Anyway alot of my friends were asking me why is her music slow or not very powerfull at first, so i told them just wait a few songs, coz she needs to build up thru her set, and i was right, i can't remember when or how it took me, but i was hypnotized by the darkness in her tracks, I went crazy jumping and Dancing like a kangaroo, She had beautiful tracks, and great skills, and awesome interaction with the crowd (with us)
I had one amazing night, thank you To All the DJz who delivered that night:
Djette, Melonic, and especially Dionysos and Shiva
My raving didn't stop at 4:30, I went on to BO and after that xOM
