Okay so I've been reading through this topic all day, trying to think of the most proper thing to say - the right words that will help me express what I went through last night.
After talking with Ziggo (Patrick) now, I realized that there really
isn't anything "proper" to say, only my utter anger can express what I felt last night.
Like JayCM before me said, I am too the kind of person that gives 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances to everyone. I was extremely excited for this event, although many people I spoke with prior to it were not feeling it at all. But I thought what the heck - with such a line-up, where could Danny B go wrong?
Err, guess that was an understatement. Danny B went totally wrong.
I have agreed with so many things people before me have said, so I will not repeat them, but they include the sucky VJ, the kids (I do NOT have anything against kids, but sheesh, "raving" (note the quotation marks since yesterday is not deemed worthy of being called anything close to a rave) with freaking 13 and 14 year olds near me is not my definition of a good time, as well as the SuperBitchneyWannaBes (don't get me started) - but one thing is for sure, I left the gig last night with the same opinion as Pato - Danny B should definitely LEAVE the EDM scene alone and just go focus on yo yo bang bang gigs.
I can't say anything other than that famous Lebanese slang saying "inno come on" - and really inno come on! Failure after failure, what does that say for our scene?
The distasteful sound system, the crowd wanting to be on stage with Jes, what do you think that portrays to the people who come expecting to find something amazing here and then find something despicable?
Honestly I don't know what more to say.
Acosta deserved WAY better thats for sure. I have adored him for ages, and to my despair I left at 3 40 a.m. disappointed.
Don't let me mention how terribly BORRRRRRRRRREDDD I WAS.
What is so funny is that the music was so low that I actually had full conversations with Tala and Saleem and Jad and Rania and Robert and the rest of the gang

which was the one and only highlight of the evening. We didn't even have to scream over the music.
Guys, I missed you all so much!
(ooh ooh yet another episode of "Lebanon and Commercialism", this time episode #5406 : Jes sang "As the Rush Comes" like what 3 times - and each time the crowd went wild.
Yet when "Like a Waterfall" came up, no one paid attention...)
