Dear Dionysos,
Although I did sign out from the forum a while ago, however I found it only appropriate and necessary to log on one additional time in order to extend my deepest appreciation and respect to what you have been contributing to the development of the Trance scene in Lebanon.
Ever since I met you, I have been sensing this admirable display of dedication and hard work on your behalf. Your latest DJing performance attests to that and constitutes hard proof.
This exceptional intervention of mine in this forum is only aimed at supporting you in your musical journey and wishing you the best of luck for the future. I thought it would be sinful to miss the opportunity of expressing my emotional backing (which doesn't mean much, but given long distances, that may well be, I am affraid, all that I can offer from here)
To conclude with a few modest observations on your set, I personally found it very attractive and from what I read in the posted messages, you must have delivered pretty sharply. I had no doubt in my mind that you were up to the task, for the chief prerequisite to be a successful DJ is to have a musical ear. You most certainly have that, combined with a courteous character and solid reservoir in electronic music.
Take care and keep up the good work. I am with you all the way.
Yours,
Bilal
PS: Just a very quick comment on your earlier reference on the authenticity of your gig (you mentioned that this never happened before in Monot). I must point, to be only fair to history (and not to myself in particular), to the fact that the LTFC has indeed organized three electronic music gigs in Monot earlier in 2003-2004 (PLANET TIESTO 2,3,4). I am not undermining the uniqueness and quality of your party, however to rob LTFC of its past accomplishments would be a bit unfair and misleading. I am positive though that you never intended any harm in that, and that these rather "old" gigs just innocently slipped your mind. I do give you credit though for spinning pure Trance
; that undoubtedly has never happened before in Monot. (Were my sets 75% Tiesto-based?, I can't remember the percentage you included in your post)
