Me and May (pTq) arrived to square bar at 11:00, the bouncer was so strict about the entrance thingy although Johnny reserved us 2 seats on the bar, unfortunatly may's friends including (psychedelic cowboy) were not allowed to enter. Anyways as me and may were heading down the stairs we could hear the melody of (Dominic Plaza - Sounds rushing) one of my favorite proggy tunes, and I knew this night is gonna be awesome. The place was too crowded, and we couldn't find a seat, boys and girls were dancing everywhere, on the bar,tables, couches, and small speakers on the ground. So we stood infront of the dj booth for a while.
Johnny was still playing progressive stuffs when a man announced on the mic that Paul Oakenfold is going to be in Square bar in 10 minutes, and he actually came in 10 minutes as said, and sat on the table infront of the dj booth, that is infront of us! In few seconds we were out of our places, as the crowd hailed on the table to take pictures, autographs, or a kiss from oakie
. But me and pTq were lucky enough to find a great spot to see oakie, and May was able to take dozens of pictures of him and the crowd as I asked her to take some pictures of all the C.H.I.K.I.T.A.Z mmmmmmm!!!
At that time Johnny was playing (paul oakenfold - southern sun), it was really a great moment,everybody was cheering, and it was the tune which took us out from the progressive journey to more melodic/energetic tunes. Few minutes later, our dearest TH member hasneez pops out from the crowd to stand next to us and shoot some pics.
Oakenfold stayed for like 30 minutes after opening about 5 bottles of champagne and smoking a cigar, he might have left to "Basement" as some of you said.
The place was still packed or probably over-packed and all of us were jumping and dancing non-stop to melodic trance.
We left to (medley) for a while, and came back again around 2:00 after having some troubles with that air-head bouncer. The place was half-packed and Johnny was still hammering the crowd with tune after tune which reflected his great djiing skills.
But what made the night awesome beside the presence of Oakie was the wicked tracklist, here are some of tunes I remember:
