recently Joop had an interview with a dutch magazine and he got a question about Lebanon! check out what they asked him and what he answered!

17.Zag dat je ook in Libanon gedraaid hebt. Hoe was dat? Wat voor voorstelling moet ik van dat land hebben en het publiek?

Libanon is fantastisch! Ikzelf was er ook nog nooit geweest en ga er in November weer heen voor de 2e keer. Wat ik daar mee heb gemaakt is alleen maar goed te noemen. De mensen zijn erg vriendelijk en het eten is gewoonweg oud-standing! Wat ook erg handig is en waar ik me over heb verbaasd is dat iedereen goed Engels praat. Dus er waren geen communicatie problemen en het winkelen kan ook heel goed, die waren ook erg westers ingesteld. Mooie auto’s en goede plaatsen om te winkelen. Dus neem alles wat je weet en ziet van TV over Libanon weg en ga ooit eens een keer daar naartoe als je tijd hebt….want je gaat je verbazen.

Over het publiek wat je voor je hebt tijdens het draaien kan ik kort over zijn…..SUPER!

17. We see that you have also done a gig in Lebanon? What were your experiences? How is the country and the audience?

Lebanon is amazing!!! I will go there for the second time in November. The experiences are super! That’s all what I can say! The people are friendly and the food is outstanding! I realized that everybody can speak English very good, there were no communication problems at all! Also the shops and markets, they are really good and western orientated. The city Beirut is so beautiful to hang out. So my advice is; forget everything you heard and seen at TV about Lebanon and try to go there if you can! Because really, you will have the time of your life!

About the audience…I can be very short: AWESOME!
