I won't go on and on about the minute details as I usually do in reviews, I'll just keep it simple. The organizers are Beirut In The Mix, from whom we all know and love DJ Nesta (a.k.a. LiQwEeD around here), and the two other DJs are Ronin and Scarface. The even was sponsored by international radio station NRJ which is gradually making its presence heard on the local scene, and hosted in one of Lebanon's most beautiful shores La Voile Bleue (Jbeil).
From the first impression you get at the door when you see the queue, you know the place will be packed, and so it were. Pretty impressive for a Thursday night! Nesta was firing up the crowds at first, with a blend of commercial and underground House tunes, carefully balanced to feed the radio-listening masses and keep the House purists satisfied. Nesta displayed solid mixing skills and charismatic crowd interaction which, paired with the wide selection of House music, was pushing the crowd on their right buttons!
The DJ booth he was on wasn't quite your conventional stage - it was the back of an Avalanche truck! Not only that, but to the right and to the left of the booth were parked the cars of the night, ranging from jawdropping 2007 Ferraris to uber-tuned older models of BMW, showing off their bling bling and awaiting to be washed... carwashed!
Scarface took over the decks for some HipHop/RnB/Rap, right after the music was silenced and the MC diverted our attention to hear out the cars' engines' roars. Scarface pressed play and the carwash experience had officially begun! Soap was sprayed all over the cars with at least one model taking over one vehicle for some sexy cleansing using nothing but their hands. Naturally, the models were drenched with soap in the process, so combine that with their uber-tight quasi-transparent tops and their ridiculously consise hotshorts, you've got yourself one hell of a sight!

The cars were all clean and good to go, and it was time for Ronin to bring back the quality music. Pure underground music was later on played out by both Ronin (a decent DJ as well) and Nesta, with tasteful alternations across different subgenres of House, from Minimal to Electro to Tech to Progressive. For obvious reasons, this was my ears' favorite part of the night (my eyes' being quite evident here

All in all, a very original concept from Beirut In The Mix, and a very well organized event. The music was designed to satisfy both commercial and underground crowds, and the DJs knew how to balance that aspect. Congrats to Nesta, Ronin, and the rest of their team at BIM and at NRJ, and just like I said, a picture is worth a thousand words, so wait up for the pictures!
