1- Wizzy Noise: Went through the roof in 2005 and are releasing new tunes
one after the other that never fail to wreck the dancefloors. Productions &
remixes appearing in most of the compilations and in many sets. Should
be my current top duo at the moment (and I'm sure they'll stay up there
for a long time). Very creative and innovative - a whole new definition of
psy.
2- Psy Craft: a ground-braking album last year. Those two are flying at the
speed of sound. I'm expecting a lot from them this year and precisely in
April (seeing them live)
3- Infected Mushroom: releasing their new album in April under the title
'Vicious Delicious'... looking forward to the top psy band's latest work.
4- Astrix: also releasing an album later this year. Avi needs no introduction
at all: a very firm favorite!
5- Digital Blond: Ricky Smith is releasing his debut album at JOOF
Recordings in a few weeks from now. Ricky is a wizard behind production
decks: Cyan & Karma (among over 10 different tunes and remixes) are
finally getting a release.
6- John 00 Fleming: the Brit is finally releasing his debut album this year
along with an EP and a collaboration with Digital Blonde.
7- Astral Projection: last but not least - Avi and Lior's 6th artist album
schedualed later this spring. Hoping for a bit of more innovation in their
sound though.
Also upcoming stuff from MFG after a 5-year-absence, Silent Hill, Atomic
Pulse, and will be keeping an eye on X-noize and the other good names.
It must be a good year for psy... time to move away from same ol'
basslines and the names mentioned have shown that they're up for it.
Roll it then!
