Proof's Gig on Nov 26th 2005

Ok...some of you whom i've talked to on msn know that i had a gig then. I was expecting a lot of people...like around 300-ish and a big place, but i turned out to be around 100-ish and an average space (i'd say the size of X-OM...and a bit bigger). Anyway, i'll review the event in my perspective ... as it goes.

I arrived there at around 10:30, house music was filling the dancefloor as well as my bloody ears. I didn't know the House DJ playing, but he played so many nice tunes, which i got later on from him .. hehe. I dont know his tracklist...but these are some tracks he did play that i asked and recognized

Anywho...i went backstage to get prepped up, put my ear plugs (yes bxtreme...i advise u to get them) and arranged my mental tracklist again. I asked if i had to continue from the previous dj's point or take it up from start, so that i can pull an intro. He said i had to continue...which i really hate doing. Anyway...this was my tracklist for the night.

The Thrillseekers - Dreaming Of You (Dub Mix)

Didn't want to cut the house-ish tune of the other dj and bring a wierd bassline so i popped in one of my favorite tunes Halcyon...followed by more house-ish basslines then took it at a lower level to get the folks ready for the ear blasting they were going to receive. As u see...i played quite a few number of vocal tracks cuz i saw a lot of girls singing alot, so ... for their pleasure...sing away (especially that britney bootleg) !! I guess the tracklist says it all... loved the Cherry Blossom moment. The progression of the tracks kinda looked like a hill if you look at the energy buildup.

I do admit i made some technical mistakes (EQ)... but i resolved that after getting used to the mixer.

For those on msn who requested...i played them:
reemze: Thrillseekers - Dreaming Of You (Dub Mix) -> Wanted to end it with Rank 1 - Airwave ... but i couldn't let u down. Plus it worked quite well, did a tiny mash-up between pvd and thrillseekers. Would like to call it .. "Dreaming of Crushing You"
hani: Marco V - False Light -> Really wanted to play that tribal tech mix...but this is the only one i could fit in here.


Hopefully i'll be able to get a hold of that set, i was told that it was recorded. And for the pictures...i gotta ask for those too. Hopefully u liked what u see here. Cheerios

Mimo, i've done gigs last year...but not as intense as this. Did one on new years eve as well...pretty sweet.
