DJs are perceived as cool, probably because they go to lots of parties and clubs, hang out with beautiful people, and have a constant supply of free drinks.

So it’s to be expected when a few narcissistic celebrities jump on the dance music bandwagon and proclaim themselves life-long closet DJs, when their careers go a bit flaccid.

Generally however, their ‘career’ as a celebrity DJ lasts about 12 minutes - the same length of time as one of those plastic toys you get in a cereal box.

The novelty of pointing at ‘so-and-so off the telly’ behind the decks soon wears off, and people then realise that celebrities tend to make shit DJs.

Could it be something to do with the amount of time they spend in front of the mirror, pulling their nose hairs out and generally trying to conceal their inadequacies?

True DJs spend years honing their craft, either locked in their bedrooms learning how to beat-match or trawling shops for obscure records, and as a result, their hygiene suffers.

Over the last few years, a whole flock of celebrity ‘faces’ have tried to reinvent themselves as DJs, but all have failed miserably since they simply haven’t had the life-long dedication.
