This is what NY trancers think about Armin.(This paragraph is taken from URB magazine, the most popular magazine for Music in New York).
Armin Van Burren:Shivers
(Ultra) The follow-up to 2003's 76 presents work Armin has presided over for the past two years, featuring collaborations with star players on a global scale(Gabriel & Dresden, Remy and Roland Klinkenberg and Markus Shulz are included). As a ten-song taste of Van Buuren's epic sound, Shivers work equally as nice on a car stereo as it does in imagined live PA. Songs countdown with snappy bass drops and titillating breaks, raising the temperature with hightailing rubbery beats and sometimes ear-splitting synths. What makes his delibarations stand-out (and reinforce the validity of this effort) is his excellent songwriting abillity; you'd think he was creating the next jingle for Dr.Pepper after hearing the next album's title track. Balancing the accessible stuff with some good and proper dancefloor workouts ("Bounce Back", "Control Freak"), Van Buurren continues to awe the trance bunnies to submission.
