Since we are doing all these end of year results and opinions , what would you say is the track that got to you most throughout the last 10 years , who you belive is the producer who produced miracles this past decade , and the album / compilation which in your books are timeless now !!??
I have sooooo many i could list , and alot of tracks deserve recognition ! However , my mind always goes back to one , single track the most , the one track that actually still shocks me until now !! My track of the decade is .......
As for Producers , withought a doubt in my mind , this guy has produced sooo many good tracks unders aliases like Roger Shah , Sunlounger , Global Experience , Epos , High noon at Salinas , Black Pearl , purple mood , to name a few ...
Artists album, nothing comes close to the this album in my books , the build up , the way the album is put together , the melodies , the arrangements ... everything is just out of this world .... a timeless pieces !
Compilation , this was the time i started discovering Markus Schulz , and it was the same time he decided to remix his coldharbour sounds into the hottest trance and progressive tracks at the moment , some of them even sound better than the original , and dont get me started on the great , great job he did remixing Andain's Beautiful Things !!

Track of the decade:
Time To Rest (Original Mix) - Andy BluemanLove this track to pieces, it's one of the first Trance tunes that made me believe in the emotional aspect of Trance music.
I won't bloat this thread with YT videos but go check it out.
Production wise it's not top notch or a masterpiece, Andy was a beginner at the time, the Track went through several makeovers before it was released, at one point he was going to release it for free, luckily Perceptive recordings signed it.
DJ/Producer of the decade:
Without a doubt
Armin Van Buuren He's done it all, although i'm not a big fan of his latest Artist album but the singles and remixes released after definitely showcase production maturity from someone that knows his field too well.
Artist album of the decade:
Sea Tides EP - Andy BluemanA great example of a producer success story, Sea Tides is by far my favorite Artist album, The skills Andy Blueman possesses go beyond Trance music, Sea Tides is an album packed with advanced constructed melodies that deserve a category of it's own, it's not Trance, it's not film music or 'epic trance', he redefined music according to his vision in an Album called Sea Tides.
Best Compilation:
ISOS 5One of my favorite compilations by Tiesto.

Just before everybody pops and start listing - can we please avoid the one-liners? Choose whichever release you think did it for ya, but could you please throw in a line talking about it or summarising the experience of it as many of us (well, at least me) don't necessarily have a clear understanding of what you're talking about.
Besides, it's just much more informative and debatable when you actually talk and discuss rather than just list.
I've just seen this topic so I have to go back through a good double-digit figure of CDs I acquired over the last 10 years.
I'll be back...

Hhehehehheh ...
i hope he does , because if he doesnt .... i am going after him !!
Not but really , in 2005 , in Ibiza , i went twice to amnesia's aramada night , and was there during the recording of Universal Religion !! Kick ass night , he came to our table afterwards , with his manager David Lewis , Markus Schulz who had opened for him , and Remy . We got him a bottle of champagne to celebrate !!

Tracks that are worth a million:
Through Your Eyes

Playmo

Forever Friends

Producer of the decade imo is:
Orjan Nilsen
DJs of the Decade:
Tiesto without any doubt..even Rock music listeners know him!
Armin van Buuren without any doubt as well..3 times #1 dj in a row, and #1 radio show

I agree about playmo and forever friends, both unique tracks !!
Tiesto is definetly an artist to mention , although lately , his productions are more miss than hit !!
Armin , i can say anything negative about him , he has been doing all the right things imo , so far quality hasnt been affected by fame !!

Man.... Awesomest thread evar!!! I have so many to list!!
Are we limited to a certain number of albums/producers?
EDIT:
System F ft. Armin van Buuren - Exhale
I don't know why, but this will always be my numero uno trance track. Even though I hardly listen to uplifting anymore, but this one is just.... DFHSGDHSGHTESGHDGSFHTEGSHEHT OMG BQQAWESOMENESS!!!! So yeah. Track of the decade.
Ferry Corsten
I really can't point out any other artist who I enjoyed listening to as a producer so much! From D&B, to Trance, to Electro, to House, to Trance.... And for some reason, he is always consistent! I have heard so many tracks by him and some of them just give me this "EW WTF?!" feeling, but somehow, they grow on me. Really, kudos to this guy for his extensive efforts into his own music. I love his work more than any one out there regardless of my changing taste in music.
Tiesto - In Search for Sunrise 3
This is pretty much the first solid compilation album that I have listened to. It's got everything!
Most creative producer of this decade: Roger Shah
Q, you're so right man! This guy is so damn creative!!
More to come later I guess?
