The track with the biggest impact

Postby TranceFusion » Sat Mar 14, 2009 2:53 am

I don't mean which track is your favorite. For example in my case, my all time favorite track is Paul van Dyk - For An Angel but the track that made the biggest impact on me is BBE - 7 Days & 1 Week (Original Mix from 1996) :)

The favorite and the one with the biggest impact can be the same track too!

So what's yours? :)

Armin van Buuren Ft. Jan Vayne - Serenity..
It made me 100% get addicted to trance.

when i first think about it , probably as the rush comes would come to mind , but there is another track , i dont know if you guys know it , its very old its called :

Trance Allstars - Blue Lagoon ( Dream Dance edit )

this changed the way i listen and play music , it has to be the dream dance edit, not the original !! Big Difference

edit :

and to be honest ... this one as well ....

ATB - Fields of Love ( York remix ) !!!

probably 'Underworld - Born Slippy' from "Trainspotting", along with many Fat Boy Slim and Prodigy tracks..
at that time where updating my library was harder than today, I use to keep the same track on repeat for months!.. good days thou...

The track that defines Trance for me is:
Remember December (Paul Miller Remix) - Dj Shog

The tune that had the biggest on me was Olive Inc. - Into the Sun

But the tunes that had the most impact on the scene back when I listened to Trance generally are:

Tiesto - Flight 164 (or whatever the numbers are)
PvD - For an Angel
Signum - First Strike
If your trance was a pretty blonde ballerina; then what I listen to is a peed-off bulky bouncer pounding the living shit out of your ballerina.

The Delorme - Beatniks (Dharma Bums Mix) , came out on Zoom records in 1993, but I discovered it early 2000s, made me fall in love with raw progressive house, I was still deep into DnB and breaks at the time but that track proved to be a turning point!

My cousin was the one that introduced me to trance at first, and he was a huge fan of Above & Beyond, thus explaining my choices:

Loneliness (Above & Beyond Remix) - DJ Tomcraft
Satellite (Above & Beyond Club Mix) - Oceanlab
