I noticed that recent years have provided opportunities for many promoters to enter the scene, so who is your preferred promoter(s) basing that ofcourse on things like dj selection, the quality of the event (sound, well managed, etc..).

MixFM was my favorite a couple of years ago. Since then, none. I just wish good luck to any one who brings new DJs to Lebanon (and some of them are much more talented than mixfm's big names - PvD and Tiesto i have in mind, cuz Ferry owns both of them).

Lebanese_raver, every promoter will want to make profit, no matter how big or small the DJ playing is. It is simply a business. No one wants to pay so much money to bring a DJ with the whole sound and lighting involved, and get nothing out of it. I would, honestly, do the same thing, and I am sure you would do so too! You wouldn't pay a dime for the sake of music only! Sure, we all gather and love the music, but if you are promoting an event, you will always want to make money out of it. This is why the focus on big names is essential since this is where the profit comes in. It's like buying a Ferrari. No one wants to buy a Ferrari that would run on 6 cylinders, right? That's because you paid so much money for such an amazing car that you expect an amazing benefit from it. In this case it's speed and performance!
Why is this so hard to understand and accept? Stop whining already!!!
I haven't seen much from Lebanon's promoters because obviously I never lived there. The only event I attended was Ferry's in 2006 (right?). I loved the organization of the whole event. But I guess my opinion would not count since again, I don't know much about Lebanon's promoters.

Mix FM proved to be very good organizers...
I attended some of NRJ vents, and they were very good too!
Mix FM 's promotional strategies are still better though

It's tough to pick a favorite cause i don't have any
In each term one organizer has a specialty,or downside ,i have yet to find one organizer that makes a minimum successful show on all aspects.
But the ones mentioned are good, and nothing is wrong with profiting money!
