http://www.djmag.com/index.php?op=this_ ... azine_id=6Check the front page of this month's DJ Mag issue and see what the egg-head had to say...
The day of the DJ is gonna endComing from a guy who lets the computers do all the work for him...I say he can go to hell...
The day a REAL DJ says so we'll believe it...until then I suggest Deadmau5 takes off the ridiculous mouse head...and shows us his arse-face...

Well he's not fully wrong if he was hinting at how most of modern softwares do 99% of the job without the integration of the DJ,I know that some people DJ using their skills and knowledge and can do it without any software help but the scene that is taking over is full software integration and not just a backup or time savior for the dj,everything is becoming more and more computerized.

Remember that it doesn't matter what DJ Mag writes about, what matters is that they write. And it doesn't change the fact that the dead mouse is an asshole. Obviously the "whizzkid" is very good at computers. And lucky enough we have legends that are the
REAL DJs! Although... one day they will retire

This looks like another Hardware Vs. Software debate.
Don't have much to say about it. No disrespect to any DJ that took the enormous amount of time to learn his trade, but software can produce the same results, if not better, and that's what matters the most, the end product. If software can produce better results, than why not move to software?
But software's major problem is that anyone who downloads something off the internet calls himself a DJ nowadays. It's got its ups and downs, but what matters most is the resulting music, and that probably gives it the edge

I actually think that like nature things will balance themselves...if everyone at some point moves to software and just click play what would be the point of having live gigs?? everyone involved in the industry will soon realize that if they let things get that far they will eventually lose the most profitable market which is live events...let's face it...the difference is made behind the decks when it comes to DJing...and no matter how developed will the tools get I think that many club owners and promoters will keep on evaluating the DJs according to their skills with CD players and turntables...
As for now Deadmau5 can keep that ridiculous head on...

Dead mouse is acting like a kid with that mask... as for the issue about recognizable DJs, the reason why very few are is because most of the clubbers are ignorants and don't care about the music or the DJ at events.
