HI Guys ! i have been really pissed off the last couple of days !!!!!
i fucking hate people putting our music for download on there bloggs and so on !

we work our asses off in the studio to make atrack , we put money into remixes , artwork , marketing , webbased promotion , promotional downloading systems and so on , to get everything right ! and then what happends ??? well some kid gets ahold of thetrack , don´t ask me how , and gives it away for free ?!?!?!?!?
honestly what the fuck is wrong with people ?

one thing they don´t understand is that if we cant sell our music and break even we wont put out more music , and producers will stop producing music cause they can´t live a life where everything is free !! young producers stop making music cause they can´t pay there bills , eat food or things like that !

why the fuck do people want to ruin another persons carrer ???
why can´t people just go to itunes , beatport m juno , djdownload or any other mp3 store and just buy a track ? it´s one dollar !!!!! if it continues like this i wont make any more tracks and i wont release music on SIZE , i´ll stop it unless people start respecting other peoples businesses ..... i feel bad for all those young new label owners that are struggling everyday to pay there bills , and all those young producers who wont get payed for remixes cause labels dont make money !
dont you get it . when you share music you will get one less producer each day !
if you continue like this people will stop doing records and stop releasing on there labels ! cause it´s to expensive to run a label for free !!!

f**king assholes !

he's pissed alright  but he has all the right to be so. People categorized the internet as a realm of freebies where everything can be acquired for free, especially music.

I've constantly read about record companies suing peer-to-peer networks, but with people sticking to this mentality it is virtually impossible to stop this wave....it's something producers have to consider to make their way out of it

PIRATED DOWNLOADS ARE STILL F*IN MUCH BETTER THAN ASKING THE ARTIST TO COPY HIS OWN ALBUM ON A CD-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was asked many times :D what can u do ? tell him/her, go buy the album from Virgin? or copy it with a bleeding heart :P

Well, he has a point. Maybe his rec. label isnt paying him good, because of "Priacy Issues" :D

I think its known that DJs & PRODUCERS cant rely their life on selling albums and tracks because MOST of the profit will go to the label. Production, Promotions, Distributions, Copyrighting, and so on, cost alot! The better way, I guess its playing live concerts and thats where you can have the right profit, of course once you establish and have a good FAN base which is the result of your album, your label!

My album was (maybe still) on the Internet for FREE, Russian websites sharing even before it was released in Lebanon.
& now when i search for my album, its ALL over the internet, sold 1$ each track. I never understand who and how is the profit divided. Until today, not any single cent came to me and im sure I have LOT sold so far. at least if the label is getting his profits, they im fine with it.

But in my case im still new, first album, im not into money now.

I would never blame Lebanese people downloading pirated music. ITS F**IN too much for us bcz they pay around 20 USD a month and get UNLIMITED Mbits + they dont have to be worried about electricity.

1$ for each track means 2 or 3 $ for us. so people, this is not about us. dont feel bad ;)

hehe totally correct :D i believe that a producer loses 1$ on every track downloaded but he wins 3 fans for it. he'll reap his losses (and much more than that) when he makes a tour. pirated music is like an advertising campaign. but nobody in the business sees it that way

I would never support djs like him! let him go produce quality tracks before acting smart!

^lol I second that .... he is right about the piracy but since he is producing shit these days of course no true House listener will buy his crap ...

as a DJ/Producer , he shouldn't really worry about that anyway. Let the labels go to war :)

Totally true. Truth be told though:
1) not everybody owns a credit card
2) not everybody can constantly buy music when the scene is rapidly releasing tracks

That being said, I'll admit that I have been buying music for 6 months now and it feels great!

^ See?
Not everybody is guilty :)
Sure a track is for 1 dollar (actually 1.99 in beatport :p ) but you could never buy many releases cuz that would cost a lot.

Soliquid - Music is for rich people
^ Spot on name that resembles this situation.

What many producers-turned-big-shots don't get is that we support them by showing up at their gigs when we can. I'm typing here on behalf of many illegal-downloaders who should be excused for simple reasons.

That doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy when you have the chance to do so ;)

^exactly! Btw Paypal doesnt recognize Lebo credit cards, ive tried many times to use my card for downloads and ebay...no luck!

AND yes its expensive to buy every single track with its remixes, maybe around 400 tracks are being released in a few weeks, can you afford paying 400$ a month for music ?!

Come to think of it, you don't need Paypal to buy your music... You can use Visa or Credit Card or other forms. Check Beatport's payment methods :P
