Nowadays, trance music depends a lot on creating new & unique sounds.
Can you specifiy one or two tracks, where the synth sound attracted you ?

i think there are a lot of interesting & attracting different sounds, where each one of these adds a flavour to the track: techy feeling, emotional, energy...
my choice would be:
For emotions, i would go for Orjan - Prison Break, or the synth used by Spirit & Dave.
For energy, i still find that Scooter - Tranceatlantic has a unique attracting uplifting sound.
For tech, Signum sounds, especially in D-Factor - Mystique, where the synth is very unique and well composed. Effects to it (in this case, the Reverb) also add to it some life.

What's your opinion?

Sawtooth basslines + sine bleeping melodies.

Or that sweep that Joonas Hahmo uses ... fock.

i am currently addicted to heavey basslines , filthy , electro sounds be it in trance or house . WIPPENBERG !!! does it for me everytime .

i also like what mac zimms did to silvio ecomo's in-no dip .

I am also hooked on DJ SHAH 's sound , the use of good vocals and a summery melody with a nice bassline . Sunlounger's In & Out could be track of the year for me so far !!!

For uplifting , i would go with Kamil Polner anyday . for the past year , he has been producing quality stuff non stop . Excellent releases !!!

I actually like the PvD/JoC/new Factoria synth. The one in John O' Callaghan - Vendetta. I love that to death! I also love Ferry sounds (surprise? lol). I'm not really into electro trance to be honest, but the reason I still love Ferry's sound is that he uses his samples very well. I adore ATB's synth. It's very.....GERMAN. I'm talking about the one in let's say.... Mr Sam - Insight (ATB remix) and Trance Allstars - Go! Martin Roth also isn't forgotten. Simon Patterson is a guy to look out for too.
