speaking of tents, i remember last year.. i was stumbling to my tent at about 6 a.m. and found the head of security taking a nap over there!

He had a cool reaction though to my half naked sexiness falling over his ass while he was sleeping lol

needless to say, i got offered the closest VIP tent instead!

Distant Heat 2006, The Voyage into Rum Begins



Amman, Jordan – The Voyage into Rum has begun! The event that propelled Jordanian pop culture into the 21st century is scheduled take place July 27 – 28, 2006. Romero Events, founders and organizers of Distant Heat, Voyage into Rum, announced details for the mega dance party held in the desert of Wadi Rum. Due to the popularity of the event, coupled with international exposure via coverage by MTV Europe, Distant Heat will now become a 2 day festival. The second day's events, complete with an evening line up of DJs, are scheduled to take place at the Red Sea Riviera Resort Aqaba, only a few kilometers away. This makes Distant Heat the only festival to take place in two uniquely diverse settings in close proximity.



The groundbreaking electronic music festival is the first of its kind in Jordan, placing it on the map for followers of the techno, house and trance music scene. The desert counterpart to similar events on the Spanish island of Ibiza and Dance Valley in the Netherlands, Distant Heat has formerly attracted world renown DJs in par with global standards. Previous headliners have included Ferry Corsten, ranked number 6, and Armin Van Buuren, ranked number 3 in the world. Originally conceived as a venue for local talent, the organizers have announced plans to provide an extended line up of Jordanian DJs and take the concept a step further by supporting fresh talent in the global music scene. This year's global DJs will be announced at a press conference scheduled for the end of June.



Of special note is the theme for this year's event, "Let ME party in PEACE!" In cooperation with Naughty Rock Star International, Distant Heat will donate a portion of its proceeds to organizations promoting world peace. The commitment serves to heighten awareness of Jordan as a safe and peaceful country and highlight its efforts to promote peace in the Middle East via pop culture festivals taking place in Middle Eastern countries such as Jordan.



Encouraging youth tourism on a global scale, Distant Heat has been successful in bringing Jordan to the world via international media. The MTV generation has been exposed to the country in a positive light, as festivals such as these serve to portray the Middle East in a modern and progressive manner.
