I knew that it would be you attacking me!! Just didn't want to say that in my post.
- First what do the grades have to do here for fuck's sake?!
- Second i'm half PL half LB and i've been living here since 1993 so i have all the right in the universe to criticize and point out whatever is wrong in this country.
- Third i know it's a global crisis, Turks also are having it for example. How did you come to the conclusion that i thought identity crisis to be a strictly lebanese issue? I have no idea and i don't want to know. As always i have to mention everything in order to avoid being attacked (i.e. i had to say in my first post that it's a global crisis so that i could avoid Rania's assumption). I'm not that stupid and narrow-minded you know? So many assumptions are made about me that every time i hear them i have a huge laugh in my thoughts.

And why every time i say that the government sucks, the parents aren't responsible, the corruption is high, there are no laws applied and the organizers are greedy, i'm automatically tagged as bashing instead of saying the TRUTH?!?! You want me to say the flaws in Poland? WITH PLEASURE HONEY. AT LEAST I'M BEING OBJECTIVE HERE. LEARN TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES IN MY POST AND YOU'LL REALIZE THAT I'M SAYING HOW IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE HERE. I was talking about music here and i supported Nick's point. Come on for music's sake!! I try to defend the EDM culture so don't accuse me of bashing or whatever that is not related to this issue!!!!!!

You know what, i'm fed up with all this ing shit. Whenever there is a serious debate it has to turn to something else. It's just impossible to talk. If i wasn't that bored at home on a daily basis, i wouldn't be checking TH anymore. Wasting my nerves for nothing in those debates "a la libanaise". Actually it's too much, from now on i'll try my best to limit my logging in and eventually stop coming.

I think Kamil was just being objective and showing the fact that the majority of the new generation needs to be introduced to its own culture. I don't think it was bashing in any sort, although i know Kamil hates everything about Lebanon and sees more flaws than goods in it but still... he's right on this one The new generation needs guidance big time and the country needs to be put back on the right track sooner or later!

Kamil's remarks only revolve around ways to improve the EDM scene and discussing the points that lead to this huge downfall in attendance and quality,yes every thread usually takes a curve into discussing people instead of music but that's what the situation is,there's a major issue in the people not the music.

I don't mind anyone pointing out the flaws in any country or anything. On the contrary, they're always more than welcome.

But constant negative criticism, without anything constructive, on a very very regular basis, that is in every thread and almost every post just gets a bit too much.

And i think we're a bit old for the tantrums, aren't we?

I agree with Kamil on his first and third point and part of his second point.
What he said is our reality.
We don't have to hide from it.

But as TRANCED mentioned about the constant negative criticism is absolutely true.
In the Taanayel thread, there was bashing, in every event topic there's bashing about our scene and how it's turning out to be, and how Lebanese clubbers never will get to the European standards in clubbing.

You might as well, respect Lebanon, you're living/working/studying here aren't you? If not,
respect the Lebanese members of this Forum.

Agreed with Kamil! The man is raising some quality points! Our country has a major identity crisis, anyone who doesnt see that is blind! The kids are the worst affected, they dont fit in anywhere, neither the east nor west. The dont want to accept their arab heritage, and they definatly arent cut for baring the western life style. This issue isnt just about music, this is a deep socio-political issue that has ravaged the foundation of the Lebanese society over the years, give the guy a break!
