Concerning psy, I agree that it's a genre that can't be listened to at home. I listened to a couple of tracks from time to time, and my mom got crazy. So lately I started to listen to it when home alone lol. I used to download a lot of track on mp3.com back in the old days. Among them there were 2 really powerful bands in the psy category: Imperial Project & Goa Syndrome. I have all their tracks now. It's because of them I started to like this genre. Later I discovered Astral Projection and Infected Mushroom. The first one got my attention cuz it's the kind of sound that I like the most (my favorite track is People Can Fly). The second one didn't convince me.
As for Hard Trance... it's a special genre for me

reminds me of Scooter (and many other german bands), of this purely german influence. I can listen to it any time I want, but since I consider music to be the best and healthiest medicine in the world, I listen to Hard when I'm in a really bad mood and need to get rid of the negative energy stuck in me lol.
Concerning Tech... I discovered this genre when DJ Kristoff (from Canada) started to deliver his sets at di.fm. His most famous set is Night Addix. He made a series with N.A.1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. I have them all. As he himself described them, these sets are purely Tech-Trance. It really got me and I hope that this genre will become stronger.
I also hope that the euphoric, old melodic sounds will come back. I used to download a lot of melodic tracks on mp3.com and I kind of miss them now

there's also a genre called Epic Trance (DJ Suzy Solar (
www.suzysolar.com), who delivered a set at
www.di.fm, as an example produces this music) that is really impressive and has attractive sounds.
