Aava - Pasi Korhonen, known as Aava, brought the trance scene some flavor. Aava ~ Sid, the first release, is loved by many of the TH'ers including myself and played by Amadeus constantly at events giving ceisures to many. Aava ~ Replica, the second release, giving the same style as Sid, making it the next dance-floor thrasher. I guess the term "Quality not Quantity" makes itself useful here. This is not only great releases of the year...but the release of a great producer that will make a difference in the future by providing us teasers of what is to come.

All of these artists have influenced the trance scene greatly this year, but i think one more name strongly deserves to be added in the list and that would be:

Jani Kervinen unde his alias Mystery Islands, and under two other aliases, Dynni and Kaste with Mika Savola. Many massive releases this year , which have also been featured in many trance compilations, such as "Dynni - City of Moving Waters", "Kaste - Desert Eagle", "Mystery Islands - Solace" and also "K-DE - 4th Floor" with Kai Harmaala ... Not to mention the quality remixes like "Faraway Project - Radiate (Mystery Islands Remix)", "Arizona & Greg Murray - Daylight (Mystery Islands Remix)" , Duderstadt - Mahananda (Mystery Islands Remix)" ... his synths and his uplifting sound is unique and i'm sure he has more to deliver in the future

Perhaps Will Holland also deserves to be in the list too, he has produced some amazing tunes such as "Melodica" and "Timeless"; remixes such as "Satori - Blackout (Will Holland Remix)" and "Filo & Peri present Taxi - Distance (Will Holland Remix)" , just to name a few ...

Finally, i would like to point to Kaveh Azizi as a big rising talent in the future. "Feeling Alive" really makes someone feel alive with that bright uplifting melody. Also, i had a listen to a demo sample of his track "Tabriz" which he posted in one of the forums and i was left speechless.Its a lovely middle eastern influenced goa track which i doubt that even if middle eastern producers here tried to make something like that, they won't even come close.

As i said that i'll be back with Jonas ...



Jonas Steur - If one stumbles upon a record with this name or any of his aliases, Estuera; Global Killer; Propylon; Silvertear; Sturgeon; Switchback, he/she must be sure its a melodic beauty. Most of his productions are melodic such as the ever-so-loved "Jonas Steur ~ Castamara" & "Jonas Steur ~ Silent Waves" ... both on the same vinyl, and both supported by many DJ's and fans. Not only are his own productions worth listening to, so are his remixes such as "Haylon ~ Starfighter (Jonas Steur Remix)" & "Elles De Graff ~ Show You My World (Jonas Steur Remix)". He also obtained huge fame with the alias Estuera. Releasing his first Estuera single with Blackhole recordings "Estuera ~ 7 Clouds". The project really emerged when he collaborated with Re:Locate to produce a track that would stick to everyone's record box: "Estuera vs Re:Locate ~ Palma Salone". Soon to be released is the long awaited "Estuera ~ Flow/Moon Sugar".... 2005 was definately a great year, but he's not stopping now.

Why has this topic died out? Am I, JAD & DIONYSOS the only folks actually interested in this? Anyway...i'd like to add Icone's name ... he's remixed a lot of great tracks this year and produced some too. I'll do a convincing story soon...
