Thank you for bringing up this subject ,,, I have attended Armin's gig in Lebanon along with more than 100 Jordanians and we all had a great time ... it was such a positive vibe ... I guess it was Armin's vibes and the "more" quality people than the Tiesto's one. But i guess the weather limitation and the lack of locations choices is quite depressing for organizers. (you have the forum at least, in Jordan we do not have indoor locations)
Concerning Distant Heat, I would like to let you know that the event was promoted on international level and was sold out (As Q said, it will stay little and exclusive not more than 2000 for the coming years)... since it is an overnight camping with an all day beach party the next day in Aqaba.
Distant Heat is becoming an annual festival, and the interest of MTV says it all (they came to the 2004 & 2005 event and will be sponsoring 2006 event).
Distant Heat has a tourism aspect behind it and its in cooperation with the Ministrey of Tourism and Jordan Tourism Board...
I am sure that Armin enjoyed Lebanon and the vibe, and I am so happy for this since we proved that the middle east is a "Magical" place ... As Armin said in his interview in mixmag concerning Distant Heat "it changed my mind about the middle east" ... so we are all here to build one positive image about our side of the world ...
As for next year's event, I still have no clue who will be playing ... I will be going to the Winter Conference in Miami and after this will decide ...
Great suggestions, i will keep them in mind ... Q, my DJ advisor ...
PLUR to all ...
