First off, its good to see a decent amount of members participating. I c that a lot of ppl have some variations in what they wanna hear out. Interesting.


Here's my take.


What do you look for/at when you're listening to a track?

As a learning producer, i look for effects and quality complex production. I love energy in a track, and not those that come off uplifting tracks. More of throbbing pulsing basslines in 'psy' or the grinding saw buzz of 'progressive'. What i hate .. is breakdowns, especially in a club. Almost every track has a breakdown ... and it sort of ticks me off if i keep hearing one. But then again, if its a damn good one that makes ur spine get a shock ... its worth it.

What part catches your attention?

Definately basslines, and of course ... breakbeat's in the breakdown (or even throughout the track)


What makes your knees weak?

Opera style voices ... accompanied by heavy strings.

Any particular sound / effect?

Yes ... filter effects, saw sidechained basslines, the BUZZZZZZZZZZ.
