best way i suppose is to try to logically analyze the reason that I (and others) went to such an event. What brings people to a DJ (namely trance) event? I mean it is quite obvious why people go to a Rock, or hiphop event for instance, cause such acts provide a "show" that u can't grasp by listening to a CD, or tape or whatnot at the comfort of your own home. When it comes to a DJ (trance especially) event, there is a limited amount of things that a DJ can do to really put up a "show"... i mean a DJ can wave up his hands a couple of times.. and raise them up everyonce in a while, maybe even tell the VJ to turn on and off the visual effects at certain times. But that don't really qualify for a "show".
So why do people leave the comforts of thier own homes, or favorite hangout spots to come to such an event? i mean Armin is my favorite trance DJ no doubt... but even though he is.. i'm pretty sure that i will do a better job at playing the songs that "I" like, and get the chance "to repeat" whatever tracks i feel like listening to over and over again.. I'm also sure that everyone could also say the same... So why did I, and others come to such an event?
It is for the Vibe, Ambience, crowd.... or namely the "RAVE" experience.
I'm not gonna dictate the definition of what qualifies to be called a "RAVE" and what don't. However, i will give my personal experience of being an avid global "RAVER" for close to a decade now.
For all its worth...
a "RAVE" is an experience, its a voyage, its a trip to some beautiful place in our conscious, state of mind.
Let me look at Wadi rum for example... it's quite a magical place... it's somewhere special that triggered the senses, even a professional party goer like armin's... beatuiful "exotic" setup, Small and selective "Dedicated" crowd, which gave that i belong to the "underground" typpa feeling. Oppertunities to get to know fellow "RAVERS".
Lets look at Forum Beyrouth..... your "Typical" bunker, or wherehouse that had only one "corporate" goal ......of filling its premises with as much ticket buyers as they could possibly do. I look around me, and see people spending half thier time pushing, or being pushed. An enormous amount of underage kids rolling on E, with no clue about the music or the surroundings. I try to close my eyes and get into the music, try to get into the mode of a "RAVE" experience, but i find zero of its components present.
We are blessed in the middle east to have some of the best views, historical sites, and exotic locations that u seldomly find anywhere else. I know Jordan has it, and i'm totally confident Lebanon is not lacking in that department either.
My wish is next time i go to an Armin event organized in Lebanon, i hear armin say " the coolest party i been to" like he was reffering to the Jordan one.
anyways, i hope i was able to communicate 10% of my point across, its way to early for my brain to function atm

I have faith in you Trancehitters though , that u can get your voices heard by promoters in the future. For the better sake of our "RAVE" culture in the MiddleEast.
