Biggest Disappointment in 2007

This is the opposite of Crow's thread , who did you expect to do magic in 2007 , and disappointed you in the end .... ?

for me , 3 names i thought i would see more of in 2007 were :

Kamil Polner

Gabriel & Dresden

Andy Moor

i am sure there are more , but will post them when i think of them :wink:

PVD!
I saw PVD live 3 times this year, and I came out frustrated every single time, his new album was no better...It seems he got affected by the same syndrome that affected Okenfold and Tiesto..

Well after "chipmunks" and "the whistler" following his success with "deep throat", it seems that he is having trouble adding variety to his style.. pretty disappointing..

One name that comes to my mind right away is Paul Van Dyk...
I agree with Q for Kamil Polner, i expected to hear from him too in 2007 but he's still young so he has many years ahead of him

maybe Andy Moor was very busy and couldn't find time for new tracks?

i find Andy Moor did a pretty good job on YearZero, but after that he practically disappeared...

Paul Van Dyk was a bit disappointing too...and JayCM, "a big Tiesto in the making" is not a compliment to Paul Van Dyk ...

Paul Van Dyk's sets are very regular sets, his gig in 2006 was unbearable, i honestly hated all the tech and hard stuff he was playing, its opposite to his melodic and energetic productions...

thankgod we have armin in the scene to stand out of all those commercial branded artists.

Guess I have to agree with you guys about PvD, was expecting something special from his album and his gig... Ferry's show has been disappointing, although it started well, but overall Ferry is not disappointing, remains a great dj and producer

by biggest disappointments , i dont mean that you might stop liking them, or hate them . it simply means , producers who you thought would release quality tracks in 2007 , but they didnt , or they released some , but not to your liking ...

I think Armin is almost done with his new artist albm , so expect a big release from him in 2008 . PVD's abum was not that bad , there were a couple of good tracks in there , new york city , let go , la dolce vita , there is another one with Guisseppe , i forgot the name , and complicated ... ya3ni , overall ok , but below standards for sure ... !

armin's album is called imagine , yes you are right ...

if New York City is commercial pop trance , than i guess i am the king of commercial pop trance ..... !! lol

who cares if its cucumber trance , i think its a good track ... the vocals are very nice and catchy , ashley's voice is a killer , and the electro-ish / tech sound added by austin leeds gives it a nice edge ... IMO
