i dont see what the problem is? if you don't like what you are listening to why force yourself? if ur going to see a dj and he's spinning music that isn't ur taste why take it?

i'm a dj too! so it concerns me that I can't find good tuens to play anymore except the super mainstream ones that are already being hammered by the big names. i'm having a very hard time just coming up with a proper tracklist. labels are signing artists who happen to just come up with a sound that is soooo repeated in other tracks. same kick + bassline + synths and the melodies sound so takhbees!! not to mention the cliche structure.

that is why my friends, an artist like BREAKFAST is successful!

i promise you all, once i get into producing music, i won't send out my tracks to labels until i make sure i have the proper DISTINCT sound and that i know my VSTs in and out (not entirely but at least majorly).

producers need to put in more effort into making music and not coming up with a "good" track with sounds that we hear everyday. uplifting trance is easily copied nowdays along with tech-trance.

Dude i agree some are low quality 5 note bunch off chickens dancing on keyboards kind of tracks, but we cant deny that now and then there are great quality tracks that are not majorly hammered by djs internationally...Some have the same sounds and others dig deep and sleep in the studio to create a single that is not appreciated as those that are having the same sound...
I go into releases pages, and every 2 hours i refresh you see a hole list of tracks...Here is where you should know what to buy and not to buy from acquired experience or pre-listening...
I agree its becoming like mice having babies every 2 secs with trance tracks, but i dont see the negative point in it...In the contrary , its great that people are getting signed to labels, but we as trancers would demand more quality tracks and end the repeating sounds, but to the Labels, these sounds please them...and every now and then a new artist will pop up with a major hit , we can't do anything about it !

I love beatport and housy labels... it takes me hours 2 discover labels on beatport and i just can't get enough... lot's of quality house tracks out there and thats what i love about house music lots of diversity and quality ofcorse. It's lovely to see that there's isn't a lot of commum tracks between house djs maybe the only commun tracks is outhouse [Valentino Kanzyani Remix] - Nathan Fake!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Shy.
On the other hand, labels need to be stricter when signing "artists". The stricter you are, the better your producers will perform. However right now, the whole getting signed process is so easy. The only tough labels - which I assure you aren't THAT tough - are the big ones such as Armada, Flashover, Blackhole...etc.

I'd hate to turn around a lot but back then, getting a record signed was so tough that only quality records were out there.
Access to production gadgets has nothing to do with what I'm talking about by the way!
