Deep Trance

Since there's a new sub-genre of trance that i don't know about and amadeus is spinning this sub-genre, i would love 2 know more about it, amadeus can u pls help me? or maybe other members can help me if they know abt it.

i think deep trance & dark trance r the same...didn't see any difference

lebanese_raver, listen to Nocturnal, by Dionysos, and u'll know what's deep/dark trance.
By the way, SamEr insisted on telling you that it's still cannot be considered as a MAIN subgenre, but it does exist; so if you have not heard of djs spinning dark/deep trance, that's not a big issue.
Anyway, again i say it, listen to Dio's Nocturnal episodes, and you'll know what is deep/dark trance

Well I wouldn't go as far as proclaiming Deep/Dark Trance as a subgenre in its own right, same as for what is now called by some "Neo Trance", but there has always been some depth and darkness in Trance, even back in the golden days. Push - Universal Nation, for example, is a very deep and dark track. Same as Airwave - Another Dimension, to continue with older tracks. As for newer tracks, just as Raneem implied I am a big supporter of this sound, so if you'd like to get acquainted with it you can check the latest download link I shared here (if it's still active) or just pass by Per-Vurt (I think you're a frequent visitor there) who has my entire 2007 library. I think you'll dig this sound because it has a lot of House influences from different subgenres pouring into Trance! Just easy on the attitude man, it might get you into trouble...

As if Trance don't ALREADY go too many too little to differ subgenre's!!

FFS... I hope it never grows to be a new subgenre...

EDM is plagued with countless, meanless sub-catogarization that in my humble opion give too little to no value at all to the listener, except give him/her a headache trying to label things.

nowaddays, u can see 20 Genre categorizations for a single track depending on what website, magazine, DJ , (insert xyz source) u read reviewing it..

^ well i say it's nice to be able to identify styles, substyles and whatnot but it's not really important.. the essential is to enjoy the music!
