Whats so special about Zocalo??????

same here i expected a much better album from armin... should have been much better considering that hes been working on it for two years.. i was still excited when i heard it at first... zocalo and gipsy really appealed to me...

im not a huge fan of his productions, he can get it right every now and then.. but its his djing/track selection that i love... now regarding zocalo.. it really attracted me because of its main strings part.... i really love it and it brings out a good positive feeling in me..

well to tell u the truth ididn t like that much shivers, i was expecting much much better from avb! ano 76 is way better! even when i listened to sivers(the track) i didn t like it that much, however the alex morph remix is better than the o.mix

^ to enjoy Armin's album.. you got to get out of your TRANCE limitations in your heads.. Armin's Shivers is not a TRANCE album.. it's a mix of many styles.. i surely dont find it an out of this world experience.. but at the same time i personally like it so much.. and having Armin doing almost everything (including lyrics writting) just gets my utmost respect!!

I agree with all the comments on Armin's album, I''ve had it for three weeks now. I try to exercise open-minded judgement about it, in the sense that I am trying to relate to non-Trance music, but I can't. Serenity and Shivers are beautiful tracks, Zocalo is special, but that's it, it will take me a while to allow the other tracks to grow on me. But all in all, a disapointing production.

most trance producers dont necessarily produce full on trance albums.. examples are tiesto, probspot, paul van dyk, and most djs

shivers is a nice album , very different , than what people expected , and i think you have to appreciate the different styles armin worked on for this album .

Zocalo , is such an emotional track , melody is very uplifting ! instant hit !

who is watching with nadia ali , and the track with justine suissa is also not bad ,,, i personally like shivers the track , i think after i've listened and played it alot of times , it grew on me ,,, and serenity is a very powerful track ..

i think , shivers , as an album , is a breakthrough in production for armin , he focused on producing different styles , and in many cases , the result was fantastic ... but thats just me :wink:
