As the tracklists clearly imply, this is an essential assortment of masterpieces that any Trance classics fan should possess, and any modern Trance listener should explore to understand the roots of this great music. There also is a significant amount of relatively recent productions; after all, the compilation is meant to cover the 15 years during Bonzai has served the music industry.

Bonzai is one of labels that literally launched the Trance sound in the mid-late 90's, including such legendary names as Airwave, Push, and Yves Deruyter to name a few, all of which are heavily included in this compilation. And up till this very day, Bonzai remains one of the leading labels in the scene in terms of quality releases and talented artists.

And now, Bonzai brings us this precious bouquet of tracks we raved on a decade ago and tracks we're still raving on today, which is quite interesting since you get a feel of how much the Trance sound has evolved, yet how simple and beautiful it was back in the days. Technical complexity was not a mandatory prerequisite as it is in today's productions - a punchy beat on a poorly-mastered bassline with a sweet lead synth and a couple of twisted effects were enough to get your feet stomping. Trance has come such a long way, and if there's one compilation out there that can testify to that, it's this one right here.

A must-have, period.

Yves Deruyter is, unquestionably, one of the shapers of the classic Trance sound, and was once one of the most sought after DJs to rock venues and producers to remix original tracks. The mark this man left on the Trance scene is impossible to ignore, and no chapter in Trance history may be written without the mention of Deruyter's influence and contribution.

One of major artists heavily supported Bonzai, Yves now brings us the definitive collection of his major works, packed in a double-CD collection worth every penny in your piggybank.

This is where today's Trance emerged from: educated yourselves!

Being a number one fan of this magnificent label, I must say that this release is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to whoever wants to know how Electronic Music sounded mostly back in the beautiful nineties! As I already stated in my first Classic Of The Week review, Bonzai related to one of Lightning Recordings’ sub-labels (also as Banshee) is just an important name which we can not but mention in the history of EM, highlighting Trance! I along some other persons here have a good number of those classics, though we couldn’t but have them all - labeled as Bonzai - in a single same compilation! Big names there, Airwave as Lolo, Velvet Girl, Cloud 69, The Green Martian were one of his first aliases to produce music on, not to mention is sublime collaboration with Marnix in “Antidote” therefore offering the finest sounds (speaking of productions and remixes as well). Mike Dierickx known as Plastic Boy, M.I.K.E and Push played a remarkable role in building the scene as well! All of them actually were pioneers in the electronic music industry, with huge productions which we actually call now with ‘Classics’.

As for Yves Deruyter also under his Cherrymoon Trax alias , he appears on many Bonzai imprints and that left a vast positive impact on the scene, old-schoolers know that very well especially while recalling some good old nostalgic moments! I proudly got Bonzai’s 15 Years Of Music a first it got released, yet still on the waiting for Yves Deruyter’s which I have been anticipating for a quite long while already – it’s some good tasteful mint!

If I am 'already' a big lover of this label’s accomplishments, then RE-Releasing those classic gems makes me even much fonder of Bonzai’s precious work.

People, this is SCRUMPTIOUS stuff – literally!

And yes, definitely a worthy bow :notworthy:
The Music was New, black polished Chrome and came over the summer like liquid Night ...

Welcome to DJ.Malaria you may wonder why I called this group Dj Malaria.
Just like Malaria takes over a person's body when it hits them i want my music's originality to control the soul of whoever hears it in that sense my music is more powerful than Malaria, and I'm sure it will but in a positive way of
course.

^I wonder who's that one dude who was given the task of narrowing down an entire archive to just 4 CDs! I wouldn't take that job for a million dollars... I'm way too OCPD for it!
